AEEE 2018 Exam Pattern

  • Amrita University conducts AEEE in computer based mode as well as the pen and paper mode.

  • The medium of language for conducting the exam is English.

  • Multiple type of questions (MCQs) are asked in the entrance exam.

  • The total duration of the exam is 2 hour 30 minutes.

  • The total number of the questions in the exam is 100 (Physics – 30, Chemistry – 30, Mathematics – 40).

  • 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

  • The total marks of the exam is 300 (Physics – 90, Chemistry – 90, Mathematics – 120).

Detailed Exam Pattern of AEEE 2018

Exam Duration:

  • The total duration for both online and offline mode is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Candidates must reach their respective exam centres on time.

  • No student will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the end of the exam.

Exam Mode:

Online (Computer-based) mode – For online mode, candidates will have to mark their responses on the computer.

Offline (Paper-based) mode – For offline mode, candidates will have to mark their answers in the printed OMR answer sheets.

Question Type:

In AEEE 2018, the question paper will be in objective type format (multiple choice questions). Each question will have four options out of which candidates will have to choose one most appropriate answer.

  • Chemistry

  • Mathematics

Marking Scheme:

  • Candidates will be awarded 3 marks, for every correct response.

  • 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

  • If candidates give more than one response to a particular question, it will be treated as ‘incorrect answer’ and 1 mark will be deducted.

  • If no response is indicated for a particular question, no mark will be awarded or deducted.
