BITSAT 2026 Biology Exam Pattern

As you are preparing for the BITSAT Biology exam, it is important to understand its pattern. By knowing the exam pattern, you can better prepare and improve your chances of success. The questions in the BITSAT Biology Exam 2026 will be a computer-based test and the Biology section will occupy 30 questions of the total paper. Each correct answer will reward you with +3 while each incorrect answer will be negatively marked with -1. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. The BITSAT Biology Exam pattern 2026 will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus of 11th and 12th grade.

BITSAT 2026 Test Format

The BITSAT exam will be conducted for 3 hours duration (without break), comprising the following 4 parts. The fourth part holds the Biology section and is optional with Mathematics. Basically, BPharm candidates have a Biology section in their question paper. 

• Part I : Physics

• Part II : Chemistry

• Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning

BITSAT 2025 Biology Marking Scheme

Each and every question of BITSAT Biology Exam Pattern 2025 consists of four options, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct one. Candidates have the facility to change their options during the examination, however, no requests for change of answers will be accepted after the paper is submitted. Some points that candidates need to keep in mind regarding the BITSAT 2025 Biology marking scheme is listed below:

• Candidates who complete 130 questions in the 3 hours duration will get a chance to solve 12 extra questions.
• Each question will comprise four options and only one answer will be correct.
• Each correct answer will add +3 and each incorrect answer will be negatively marked with -1.
• There will be no time limit on when a candidate should complete each section of the exam according to the BITSAT Exam Pattern Biology.

 Supplementary Questions in BITSAT 2025 Exam

If a candidate is able to complete all 130 questions of the BITSAT 2025 exam before three hours duration then that candidate will be allowed to attempt an additional 12 questions within the remaining time. The additional questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology sections and Logical Reasoning only. From the Biology section, only three questions will be asked. No candidate who chooses to answer these questions will be allowed to go back and make any changes to the previously answered questions.
