Your Ultimate Exam Preparation Guide Awaits!
CSIR UGC NET 2025 Merit List has been released on February 23, 2026. You will be ranked according to your performance on CSIR UGC NET 2025 exam, which determines their eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) vacancies in several kinds of science subjects throughout India. To qualify for CSIR NET, students need to achieve a minimum percentage of 33% (General, EWS, and OBC) and 25% (SC, ST, and PwD) for both JRF and Assistant Professorship. The merit list will be released separately for each category and will establish who is eligible for grants like PhD possibilities, assistant professorships, and junior research fellowships (JRFs). The preparation of the CSIR NET merit list is based on candidates’ normalized scores, subject-wise performance, and category-wise reservation norms as prescribed by the Government of India. Separate merit lists are generated for each subject like Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences thereby ensuring fair comparison among candidates of the same discipline. The CSIR NET merit list distinguishes between candidates qualifying for JRF + Lectureship and those qualifying for Lectureship only. Candidates with higher ranks and scores are awarded JRF, which includes a monthly fellowship and opportunities to pursue funded PhD programs, while others who meet the eligibility threshold qualify for Assistant Professor positions.
