Meeting the Delhi CET eligibility criteria for 2021 is one of the most important requirements if the aspirants want to successfully apply for the Delhi CET 2021 entrance exam. Because Delhi CET is a gateway exam to multiple Engineering and Non-Engineering diploma programmes, the eligibility criteria for each programme is also different. Delhi CET Eligibility for Diploma in Engineering/ Occupational Courses

The eligibility for Diploma in Engineering/ Technology/ Occupational courses can be checked below -

  • Candidates aspiring for admission in Diploma in Engineering or Occupational courses must appear for Test 1 in Delhi CET.
  • The candidates must have passed Class 10th with a minimum of 35% of marks or CGPA of 3.7 or above.
  • The candidates must study Science, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in Class 10th.

 

Delhi CET Eligibility for Modern Office Practice (English & Hind)

The eligibility for Modern Office Practice admission through Delhi CET can be checked below -

  • The candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 35% of marks. Candidates aspiring for MOP (Modern Office Practice) in English must have a minimum of 35% of marks in English in Class 12th.
  • Candidates aspiring for MOP Hindi must have passed Class 12th with Hindi as one of the subjects. The candidates must have a minimum of 35% if marks in Class 12th.

Delhi CET Eligibility for Diploma in Pharmacy

The eligibility criteria for Diploma in Pharmacy admission through Delhi CET can be checked below -

  • The candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 35% of marks.
  • The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology (Botany/ Zoology) as the compulsory subjects.

Delhi CET Eligibility for Lateral Entry in Diploma

The eligibility for Lateral Entry admission in Diploma courses through Delhi CET can be checked below -

  • Candidates who have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology (Botany/ Zoology are eligible for admission.
  • Candidates who have passed 2-year ITI course after Class 10th are eligible for Lateral Entry admission in Diploma courses.

Delhi CET 2021 Reservation Policy

The candidates can go through the table provided below for a detailed understanding of the Delhi CET 2021 reservation policy:

Government/Government Aided/Government Sponsored

  • 85% of the total seats will be filled by Delhi CET qualified candidates who have studied from Delhi Schools

  • Remaining seats will be filled up by those candidates who have studied in NCR Schools or Schools located outside Delhi provided they qualify Delhi CET exam

  • 15% of the total seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for SC category candidates

  • 7.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for ST category candidates

  • 27% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for OBC-NCL category candidates

  • 5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for PwD category candidates

  • 5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for wards of Military/Paramilitary Forces

  • 0.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for NCC “C” certificate holders

  • 0.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for the wards of those with a liability of transfer outside Delhi

Private/Self Financed Institutions

  • 10% of the total seats will be reserved as Management Quota seats (except for Minority Institutions)

  • Delhi Candidates - 17% seats for SC category, 01% for ST category and 27% seats for OBC category candidates

  • Outside Delhi Candidates - 15% seats for SC category, 7.5% for ST category and 27% seats for OBC category candidates

  • 5% seats will be reserved for PwD category candidates

  • 5% seats will be reserved for wards of defence personnel (in all programmes)

  • 0.5% seats will be reserved for candidates with a “C” certificate in NCC

Note:

  • One supernumerary seat will be reserved in each Institute for candidates belonging from the state of Jammu and Kashmir (morning shift only) who is currently settled in Delhi

  • In a scenario where the supernumerary remains vacant, then the officials will consider a Kashmiri settled outside Delhi for the vacant seat

  • Candidates with a family income of less than or equivalent to 8 Lakhs per annum will also be given admission in their desired programme and college provided they produce all the relevant documents (5% intake only)
