Meeting the Delhi CET eligibility criteria for 2020 is one of the most important requirements if the aspirants want to successfully apply for the Delhi CET 2020 entrance exam. Because Delhi CET is a gateway exam to multiple Engineering and Non-Engineering diploma programmes, the eligibility criteria for each programme is also different. This is the main reason that the candidates must take a good look at the eligibility criteria for Delhi CET 2020 before starting to apply for Delhi CET 2020 entrance exam. 

The application forms of those candidates will stand a chance of getting disqualified who do not fulfil the terms and conditions of the Delhi CET 2020 eligibility criteria mentioned below. Delhi CET 2020 Reservation Policy

The candidates can go through the table provided below for a detailed understanding of the Delhi CET 2020 reservation policy:

Government/Government Aided/Government Sponsored

  • 85% of the total seats will be filled by Delhi CET qualified candidates who have studied from Delhi Schools

  • Remaining seats will be filled up by those candidates who have studied in NCR Schools or Schools located outside Delhi provided they qualify Delhi CET exam

  • 15% of the total seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for SC category candidates

  • 7.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for ST category candidates

  • 27% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for OBC-NCL category candidates

  • 5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for PwD category candidates

  • 5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for wards of Military/Paramilitary Forces

  • 0.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for NCC “C” certificate holders

  • 0.5% seats (both in Delhi and outside Delhi quota) will be reserved for the wards of those with a liability of transfer outside Delhi

Private/Self Financed Institutions

  • 10% of the total seats will be reserved as Management Quota seats (except for Minority Institutions)

  • Delhi Candidates - 17% seats for SC category, 01% for ST category and 27% seats for OBC category candidates

  • Outside Delhi Candidates - 15% seats for SC category, 7.5% for ST category and 27% seats for OBC category candidates

  • 5% seats will be reserved for PwD category candidates

  • 5% seats will be reserved for wards of defence personnel (in all programmes)

  • 0.5% seats will be reserved for candidates with a “C” certificate in NCC

Note:

  • One supernumerary seat will be reserved in each Institute for candidates belonging from the state of Jammu and Kashmir (morning shift only) who is currently settled in Delhi

  • In a scenario where the supernumerary remains vacant, then the officials will consider a Kashmiri settled outside Delhi for the vacant seat

  • Candidates with a family income of less than or equivalent to 8 Lakhs per annum will also be given admission in their desired programme and college provided they produce all the relevant documents (5% intake only)
