GCET 2023 eligibility criteria released by DTE, Goa, include age limit, nationality, educational qualifications, reservation policy, etc. Candidates failing to meet the required conditions may have their candidature cancelled at any point of the admission process.
The eligibility criteria of GCET 2023 is prescribed officially by the DTE, Goa authorities. Here is a look at the age, nationality, and other requirements for B. Tech admission:
No age limit has been specified for admission to Engineering Courses.
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for GCET exam. However, non-resident Indians who hold Indian passports can also apply for seats reserved under the NRI category. Also, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders are also eligible to apply for admissions under NRI Category.
To apply for GCET exam, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination of the Goa Board / equivalent exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination.
Candidates who claim for seats in the SC/ST/OBC (reserved category) have to submit their caste certificate in the prescribed proforma from the Competent Authority.
Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology. 5 % relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories and hence they can apply with 40% marks.
The GCET 2023 eligibility criteria is prescribed by DTE, Goa authorities on its official website. Given below are the parameters for B. Arch admission:
Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in the GCET 2023 exam. Under NRI category, Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports can also apply for seats reserved. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are also eligible to apply for seats under NRI Category.
NATA: Candidates should have qualified and have a valid score in NATA entrance exam
Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate exam of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC)
OR
Candidates should have completed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling and have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
OR
Candidates should have completed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) passed/ appearing recognized by Central/State Govts with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics
