IMU CET 2026 Counselling

IMU CET counselling process is likely to begin in September 2026 online. The IMU CET counselling 2026 process includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment. If you are aiming for admission to IMU-affiliated institutes or other DGS-approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) affiliated with different universities, you can directly approach your preferred institutes after obtaining the IMU CET rank certificate. Seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, and availability, with three allotment lists released by the authorities. IMU CET 2026 Counselling Procedure

The counseling for IMU CET 2026 is being done for students who qualify for the exam and are invited for counselling based on the marks obtained in the exam. The complete procedure can be divided into parts as follows by the concerned authority.

Online Registration:

• Students who are shortlisted for the online counselling process of IMU CET must register themselves for the same on the official website of the university.

• To register online for the counselling process students need to first sign in with their registered user ID and password.

• After logging in, the page with the registration form will open.

• Fill in the correct and relevant details in the form and attach the asked documents.

• After filling up the form, submit it by clicking on the submit button.

• Remember to go through each detail filled in the form and submit it.

Fee Submission:

• Students have to pay Rs.10,000/- (Non-refundable) as part of registration for IMU Online Counselling.

• The fee can be submitted through net banking or credit or debit card payment at the time of registration.

• Students selected after the counselling process in the First/Second/Third (if any) list published by IMU will have to pay an amount of Rs.25,000/- (Non- Refundable) to complete the admission process.

Choice Filling and Seat Allocation:

• Seat allotment to various courses is done after the counselling of IMU CET 2026.

• The students can modify their choices of programmes only twice after the first counselling round.

• Students must remember to take a printout of the choices that have been locked for submission.

Document Verification:

• The seat allotment process is followed by verification of original mark sheets and certificates, physical fitness clearance, etc.

• Students must submit correct documents at the time of registration. Any fault found in the documents submitted shall be subject to illegal offence and might lead to the cancellation of the candidature of the students.

Confirmation and Admission:

• After the completion of all the above stages, students will be allotted seats in any of IMU’s campuses.

• Seats will be allotted after the screening of the marks scored in IMU CET 2026, online registration form submitted and documents provided by the students.

• No changes in the choice of campus or course will be entertained after the confirmation of the registration form.

Notes:

• Students must know that the seats will be allotted in the IMU’s campuses only.

• If a student withdraws from the allotted Campus/ Programme for any reason after his/her admission is confirmed, then he/she will not be entitled to any refunds (counselling or first semester fees) under any circumstances.

• Students who fail to produce the required documents will not be allotted seats in any of the courses.

• A student who fails to complete the IMU CET counselling registration process will not be considered for admission.

• All the students should keep a track of the counselling schedule so that they do not miss any of the forthcoming events related to the admission.

• They should bring their original documents and certificates during the counselling process along with a set of photocopies.

Documents Required for IMU CET 2026 Certificate Verification

There are specific documents required for the IMU CET 2026 certificate verification rounds. The following are the documents required for IMU CET 2026 Certificate Verification:

• Mark sheet of 10th class

• Mark sheet of 12th class

• IMU CET 2026 Admit Card

• IMU CET 2026 Score Card

• IMU CET 2026 Counselling letter and

• Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

IMU CET 2026 Choice Filling

After the completion of the IMU CET 2026 counselling registration process. The Indian Maritime Univeristy opens the IMU CET 2026 choice filling process. During the choice filling, you have to fill in your choices for streams and colleges you prefer to join via the IMU CET 2026 exam. You are provided a specified window to lock your choices. Seats in IMU CET 2026 counselling will be allotted based on your choices and preferences.

IMU CET 2026 Seat Allotment

The authorities issue IMU CET 2026 seat allotment based on the marks achieved in the exam, cutoff scores, and choice filling. The seat allotment will be done to fill in the available seats in IMU CET 2026 participating colleges. Once a seat is allotted, you can either proceed with admission formalities or leave the seat and participate in the next round of IMU CET counselling process.
