  • The question paper for admission in B.Tech courses comprises 200 questions. 

  • The exam needs to be completed in 180 minutes.

  • The maximum marks that can be obtained in the exam are 200.

  • There will be five sections of the exam.

  • The Mathematics and Physics section of the exam needs to be completed in 45 minutes whereas, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude needs to be completed in about 28 minutes.

  • Question paper for admission in M.Tech courses comprises 120 questions. 

  • The time duration of the exam is 180 minutes.

  • The maximum marks that can be obtained in the exam are 120.

  • The M.Tech question paper will contain three sections.

  • Ideally, each section needs to be completed in 60 minutes. 

  • For Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry sections, it would be very helpful in managing time for the candidates while writing the exam, to remember all the formulae by heart. 

  • Before beginning with solving a numerical, recall all the formulae that will be used in it and write them on a rough sheet if that helps.

  • There is no negative marking in the exam. So, candidates should attempt every question.

  • The question paper for admission in MBA programmes contains 120 questions.

  • Examinees get 180 minutes to complete the exam.

  • The paper comprises four sections. 

  • Ideally, candidates should complete each section in 20 minutes.

  • For Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section, candidates should read newspapers and good journals regularly.

  • Candidates should get a good command over reading comprehension to manage time in the exam.

Dear Student,

The minimum aggregate which is required for IMU CET is 60% in 12th along with 50% in English subject. However, there is a 5% relaxation for the reserved category candidates. Hence, if you have attained at least 55% aggregate in your 12th with 45% in English subject, then you are eligible for the exam.
