IRMASAT 2020 Exam Pattern

The IRMASAT exam pattern is prescribed by the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) every year which will comprise of information about details such as mode of IRMASAT exam, the total number of questions asked, etc. The best way to start preparing for the exam is to know everything about the IRMASAT 2020 exam pattern which, in turn, will help the candidates score the desired marks to get through to the next round of admission process. 

As per the exam pattern of IRMASAT, the IRMASAT question paper comprises of objective-type questions where the candidates are provided with multiple possible answers to a particular question from which the candidates have to choose the best or matching response. Each question carries 1 mark and for every wrong attempt, 1/4th of the total mark carried by the question is deducted.

Highlights of IRMASAT Exam Pattern 2020

  • IRMA assesses candidates' awareness on social issues.

  • In the IRMA question paper, a total of 40 multiple choice questions are asked and time allotted for the test is 80 minutes.

  • IRMA test comprises only one section.

  • Only one of the five answers will be the correct answer.

  • As per previous years’ question paper, questions will be asked basically from current events.

  • Out of the total 40 questions, 12 will be single questions while 28 will be passage-based group questions.

How to Answer Questions Asked in IRMASAT Exam?

The following pointers will briefly describe the measures which the candidates must undertake to answer the IRMASAT exam questions:

  • The candidates will see Objective-Type questions on their computer screen

  • Each question will be followed by four options out of which only one is correct

  • The candidates have to consider all the options before clicking on the correct option

  • After providing their response, the candidates have to click on the “Save & Next” button to submit the response

  • There will be a “Mark for Review & Next” button which the candidates can click in case they want to change their response which is already submitted

  • The candidates will have a specific time limit to lock and submit their response failing to do so will see the system automatically submitting the chosen answer and the candidates will be directed to the next question

IRMASAT 2020 Marking Scheme

  • For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1 mark.

  • There will be a Negative Marking of ¼ marks for every incorrect answer.
