About IRMASAT 2019

The IRMA Social Awareness Test, commonly known as IRMA SAT, is organised by Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). IRMA 2019 will be organised in the first week of February 2019 in online mode across 28 exam centers. IRMA has a total of 240 seats for the PGRRM programme.

Note: IRMA will use CAT 2018/XAT 2019 and IRMASAT 2019 scores for admission to PGDRM 2019-21.

IRMASAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

IRMASAT 2019 eligibility criteria enlists the requirement in terms of age, nationality and educational qualification that candidates have to fulfill for appearing in IRMA Social Awareness Test. IRMA eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) are different.

IRMA Eligibility Criteria for PRM Programme

  • Candidates should be a graduate with minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3).
  • Open Category and OBC candidates should have scored at least 50% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
  • SC/ST/DAP category candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
  • The final year graduate candidates can apply if they complete their degree on or before June 2019.
  • Candidates should have a score of CAT 2018 and XAT 2019.
  • NRI, NRI sponsored candidates, foreign nations, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in should have scores of GMAT and GRE (on or after January 2014), CAT 2018 and XAT 2019.
  • There is no age limit.

IRMA Eligibility Criteria for FPRM Programme

  • Candidates should have PGDRM from IRMA or
  • Candidates should have PGDRDM from IRMA with one year post diploma work experience or
  • Post graduation in any discipline with 55% marks and 50% marks at graduation level from a recognised university. Or
  • Candidates should have 5-year professional degree in medicine, veterinary science, architecture, etc. with 60% marks and at least one-year work experience or
  • 4-year professional degree in engineering, agricultural sciences, etc. with 60% marks and at least three years work experience
  • Candidates should have a score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines such as management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc. UGC JRF is mandatory for applying to FPRM programmes besides National Eligibility Test (NET).
  • The eligibility requirement for SC, ST, OBC and DAP candidates will be 5 % less than those given above.
  • Candidates with PGDRM from IRMA and having the score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines are exempted from the admission test and they will be directly called for interview.
  • In exceptional cases, if a candidate does not have a postgraduate degree but has high professional experience that can be compared with a PG degree to offer admission. Here, the candidate’s quality of published and unpublished work or professional contributions will be carefully checked by the FPRM Executive Committee.
  • There is no age limit.

IRMASAT 2019 Exam Pattern

IRMA 2019 exam pattern has been defined by the examination authority, Institute of Rural Management Anand. IRMA exam pattern gives candidates an idea regarding the marking scheme, total number of questions, sections, total marks, time duration.

  • IRMA assesses candidates' awareness on the social issues.
  • In the IRMA question paper, a total of 40 multiple choice questions are asked and time allotted for the test is 80 minutes.
  • IRMA test comprises only one section.
  • Only one of the five answers will be the correct answer.
  • As per previous years’ question paper, questions will be asked basically from current events.
  • Out of the total 40 questions, 12 will be single questions while 28 will be passage-based group questions.

  • For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1 mark.
  • There will be a Negative Marking of ¼ marks for every incorrect answer.

IRMASAT 2019 Result

The IRMASAT 2019 result will be declared on the official website of IRMA. Candidates will be able to download the result by entering details such as their application number, date of birth, and password on the official website. IRMA also releases separate sectional and overall scores.

The shortlisted candidates who apply for Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) have to participate in the Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds, while the Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) candidates have to appear for Interview and Presentation of Essay.

The final result for Indian students is based on their performance in IRMASAT, in addition to CAT/XAT scores. For foreign candidates, the scores of CAT/XAT/ GMAT is the only factor in deciding their admission.

How to Check IRMA 2019 Result

  • Go to the official website of IRMA i.e. irma.ac.in.
  • Click on the 'IRMA 2018 Result' link.
  • Provide all the requisite details such as Application number, Date of Birth and Password.
  • Click on the 'Submit' button.
  • The result will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Download and take a few copies of the print of the same for future use.

Preparation of the IRMA 2019 Result

First, the institute will publish the result which will provide the candidate’s total score and qualifying status. Here, the candidates will be given scores according to the marking system of the examination. For each correct answer, 1 mark is added, while for every wrong answer 0.25 mark is deducted. Shortlisted candidates have to attend Group Activity (GA), Personal Interaction (PI) and Essay Presentation rounds. Based on the candidate’s entrance test score, CAT score/XAT score and GA & PI performance, the final merit list is prepared.

Out of the 240 seats, 15% are reserved for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

IRMA 2019 Selection Process

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) follows a three-step process for selecting candidates for the Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PGDRM). IRMA 2019 Selection Process basically consists of the following.

  • Candidates must first apply for the CAT 2018/ XAT 2019 exam. On the basis of their scores in these exams, candidates will be shortlisted for IRMASAT 2019. This test is organised on the subject of ‘Issues of Social Concern’.
  • IRMA 2019 exam is the second stage in the IRMA selection procedure 2019 and is likely to be held in the second week of February 2019.
  • The third stage of the selection procedure of IRMA 2019 comprises Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interview (PI).

Candidates are evaluated on the basis of CAT / XAT scores and IRMASAT Exam scores (Foreign Nationals are shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT / GRE Scores).

Candidates who qualify the Phase 1 will be called for Group Activity and Personal Interview. Final selection is done on the basis of collective performance in both the phases.

FPRM

Candidates have to clear the minimum cut-off set by the institute. Candidates in phase 1 are selected based on their score in CAT / XAT and the strength of their application.

In the second phase, the candidates are selected on the basis of their score in IRMASAT Exam, Essay (Quality and Presentation) and Personal Interview.

IRMA SAT 2019 Cut-off

The qualifying cut-off of IRMA SAT 2019 will be announced by IRMA (Institute of Rural Management Anand ) soon after the declaration of IRMA SAT Result 2019. Apart from the cut-off for IRMA SAT 2019, IRMA will also publish CAT 2018 Cut-off, XAT 2019 Cut-off. IRMA SAT cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks which is to be shortlisted for the candidates for Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interview (PI).

The IRMA SAT Cut-off will be announced for General, NC-OBC and reserved category candidates. IRMA SAT cut-off will be released in the month of March 2019 on the official website of IRMA in online mode. IRMA cut-off will be released in two stages i.e first for the IRMA SAT examination, Second for the CAT 2018 or XAT 2018 examinations.

It is important for candidates to know that the cut-off marks will include the different sections and overall expected marks. The cut-offs will vary from candidate to candidate as per the course/category. It is mandatory for candidates to meet the IRMA SAT/ CAT/ XAT cut-off to become eligible for further rounds of admission.

To download the Cut-off of IRMA SAT 2018, candidates can follow the below steps:

How to Apply for IRMASAT 2019

The application form of IRMA 2019 exam was issued by Institute of Rural Management (IRMA) on 18th September 2018. Indian Nationals can register for IRMASAT 2019 until 31st December 2018 while Foreign Nationals can apply until the last week of March 2019. Candidates can apply for IRMASAT 2019 in either online or offline mode.

Documents Required for IRMASAT Registration 2019

It is compulsory to keep the following documents handy while filling IRMA Application Form.

  • Valid Email ID
  • CAT 2018 Registration Number or XAT 2019 Registration Number.
  • Scanned copy of photograph and signature as per given dimension.
  • Credit/debit card details if the fee is to be paid online.
  • Academic certificates such as mark sheet of class 10th, 12th, graduation and post graduation.

Procedure to Fill IRMA Application Form Online

Registration:

  • Visit the official website of IRMA.
  • Click on the Drop-down menu "IRMA Application Form Indian Nationals/Foreign Nationals".
  • After that, enter your Email ID and Password for registration.
  • After registration, user name and password will be sent to candidate’s registered email ID.
  • Re-login with the ID and password and start with the application process.

Fill IRMA Application Form:

  • After logging into the account, candidates will have to fill their basic details such as Name, Address, Gender, Category, Programmes Applied.
  • Then, select the Fee Payment mode.
  • Enter your education details, percentage, and fee mode as applicable and click on the 'Next' tab.
  • The next step is where you need to fill your CAT or XAT registration number along with the income details and test centre.
  • Before you click on 'Submit' tab. You should carefully go through all the sections in order to avoid any discrepancies.

Upload Documents:

Candidates will have to upload their image and signature in the size and format given by the authority. The documents have to be uploaded in the following size.

  • Photograph - 150 x 180 Pixel
  • Signature - 150 x 70 Pixels

Payment of Fees:

  • Candidates will have to pay the application fee to complete the registration process.
  • The fee can be paid by credit card, debit card, net banking or SBI challan.
  • It should be noted that the candidates who belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category need not pay any application fee. However, these candidates need to provide the proof that they belong to the BPL Category.

Offline Process:

  • In order to fill the IRMA application form 2019 offline, the candidates need to purchase the prospectus along with the form from the Admission office of IRMA.
  • The candidates need to fill the application form of IRMA 2019 and send it to the office.
  • The fee should be paid through Demand Draft (DD).
  • The DD should be drawn in favour of Institute of Rural Management payable at ‘Anand’.
  • The DD should be mailed along with the IRMA application form 2019.
