Students who are selected for JEST 2026 will be eligible for admission to PhD programs in Physics and Mathematics at top institutes in India. They will also be eligible for various scholarships and fellowships.
The JEST 2026 selection results are announced by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
In addition to the candidate's score in the JEST 2026 exam, the selection committee may also consider the following factors during the selection process:

Research experience
Letters of recommendation
Interview performance
