Karnataka Exam 2026 Exam Day Instructions

KEA will release important instructions for students participating in the Karnataka DCET 2026 exam. The instructions highlight what you can and cannot bring to the Karnataka DCET 2026 exam centre. In the following points, we have provided the detailed instructions: 

1. You are not allowed to bring any prohibited items into the exam hall, such as electronic items, mobile phones, pen drives, earphones, microphones, Bluetooth devices, and wristwatches.

2. No edible items are allowed inside the examination hall.

3. Colored and metal water bottles are not allowed inside the examination hall; the exam hall officials will make arrangements for water in the exam centre.

4. Stationery items such as pens, pencils, erasers, geometry boxes, and log tables will not be allowed inside the examination hall.

5. You are only allowed to bring your DCET admit card and a valid Photo ID to the examination room.

6. You are also required to follow the Karnataka DCET dress code.

General Exam Day Instructions for Karnataka DCET 2026 

On the Karnataka DCET 2026 exam day, applicants should follow the procedures listed below.

  • Students must remember to bring their Karnataka DCET admit card to the exam centre.
  • To the exam center, students must bring one valid ID and a picture, along with the DCET hall ticket.
  • Students should come at least 45 minutes before the Karnataka DCET exam.
  • Inside the examination hall, no calculator, electronic watch, slide rule, log table, printed or written material, cell phone, pager, or other device is permitted.
  • Inside the exam venue, students are not permitted to consume tea, coffee, cold beverages, or snacks.
  • Students should take the test solely from their assigned seat and not leave without the proctor's approval.
  • Inside the exam room, smoking is absolutely banned.
  • Students are encouraged not to leave their seats until the proctor announces the exam completion.

Students are required to wear half-sleeved shirts; full-sleeved shirts are not allowed.

Female students are prohibited from wearing clothing with elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or buttons.

Students should prefer to wear a collarless plain shirt/T-shirt.

Full-sleeved clothes/jeans should not be worn on the day of the examination; instead, half-sleeved clothes should be worn.

Trousers and plain pants (no pockets/with minimal pockets) are the preferred dress code for male students; Kurta pyjamas, jeans are not permitted.

High-heeled shoes/slippers and shoes/slippers with thick soles should not be worn; wearing slippers with thin soles is mandatory.

The clothes worn by male students should be light, meaning there should be no zip pockets, pockets, large buttons, or elaborate embroidery.

Female students are prohibited from wearing any kind of metal jewellery (except mangalsutra and anklet).

Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Students are required to wear sandals or flat-soled slippers.
