The MCAER PGCET 2026 application process is ongoing. The last date to complete the online form is February 23, 11.59 pm, while the last date of online fee payment is February 24, 11.59 pm. Based on the programme you are interested in pursuing, check the MCAER PGCET eligibility before sending the application. MCAER PGCET 2026 will be conducted by MCAER, Pune, in offline mode across 3 days - April 11, 12, and 13, 2026.  According to the CET you applied for and the date allotted, you have to take the test. Overall, there are 200 MCQ questions in the test, and the total mark is 200. Students have 2 hours to attempt the test, and there is no negative marking. The number of sections and weightage vary per programme. 

The entrance test serves as the gateway to M.Sc, M.Tech., MBA Agriculture, etc, across the State Agricultural Universities of Maharashtra. Multiple faculties are involved, such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Biotechnology, etc. The answer keys, results, and merit lists are published within a few weeks after the test, followed by a Centralised Admission Process.

The MCAER CET PG 2026 examination, or the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research Postgraduate Common Entrance Test, will be administered by the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB). Important Note:

• BTech (Agri.Engg.) candidates are also eligible for admission to “Agril. Meteorology” subject only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• BSc (Hons) Home Science/ BSc (Hons) Community Science candidates are also eligible for admission to “Agricultural Extension and Communication” subject only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• BSc (Animal Husbandry) candidates are also eligible for admission to “Animal Husbandry” subject but only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• The students possessing these UG degrees will have to complete deficiency courses if any as suggested by SAC.
• Other State graduate candidates must have a degree from ICAR-accredited Agriculture University,  if applicable.
• It is compulsory that all the degrees mentioned in the above eligibility list should have been only awarded by Agricultural Universities.
• All the Master’s degree programmes have a minimum duration of two years (i.e. 4 semesters).
