To notify all the interested candidates for the SBI PO Exam, the State Bank of India releases an online advertisement every year. In 2024, the State Bank of India will recruit 1031 candidates for the post of Probationary Officer.

As per the SBI PO official notification 2024, total number of vacancies announced are 1031. 

SBI is yet to release the detailed allocation of SBI PO 2024 vacancies. For a better understanding, candidates can refer to the SBI PO vacancies from previous years. The State Bank of India is expected to release 1673 vacancies of Probationary Officers. Out of these 1673, there are 1600 regular vacancies while 73 are backlog vacancies. SBI PO Age-Based Eligibility (01.04.2024)

The age limit criteria for SBI PO recruitment are fixed by the officials of the State Bank of India as per which:

• Minimum age limit is 21 years
• Maximum age limit is 30 years

SBI PO Age-Relaxation

• 4% horizontal reservation has been provided to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
• There is an age-relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/EXSM.
• 3 years for OBC whereas 10 years for PWDs.

SBI PO Educational Qualification (31.12.2024)

• Must be a graduate or have passed an equivalent examination from a recognized University or by the Central Government to meet the eligibility criteria of SBI PO.
• Final semester candidates can also apply for SBI PO 2024 provided they produce their proof of passing the graduation at the time of document verification or as on the date mentioned by the examination authority in the official notification.
• Candidates holding an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before August 31, 2024. CA candidates are also eligible to apply for SBI PO.

How to Fill SBI PO Application Form 2024?

To apply for the SBI PO Exam 2024, follow the steps provided below:

• Step 1: Visit the website of SBI bank.sbi/web/careers
• Step 2: Click on the Careers tab.
• Step 3: Under current openings open the Application Form.
• Step 4: To register fill in all the required data.
• Step 5: Upon registration log in to the portal using the Registration No and Password given in the registered mail id.
• Step 6: Fill in all the required information in the Application Form carefully.
• Step 7: Upload Passport Size Photograph and Signature on the field given.

SBI PO Selection Procedure involves the following phases-

• Preliminary Exam (Objective)
• Mains Exam (Objective + Descriptive)

SBI PO selection procedure is divided into 3 different stages where the first stage of the preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Thus, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the Mains examination and interview.

• Revise from previous years’ question papers: You should focus on the revision of critical topics. They should put maximum effort into topics with maximum weightage in the SBI PO prelims exam.

• Build a section-wise preparation tips: There is a fixed time to attempt each section. In order to attempt the maximum number of questions, you must have a clear strategy to attempt each section. • Be clear with concepts: You must be clear with the concepts. The standard of SBI PO syllabus is of graduation level. You can clear their basic concept of Quantitative Aptitude and rules of grammar from their high school books.
• Devise section-wise preparation strategy: You need to prepare a strategy for each section of the exam. The study plan should be such that you divide equal time to each section of the exam.
• Learn shortcuts: You should learn shortcuts for solving questions. Since there are sectional timings, learning shortcuts will help you to attempt maximum questions in less possible time.
• Increase practice: You can practice with more and more sectional tests, take one mock test every day. Practice on the computer for optimum results.
• Guesswork should be limited: In SBI PO exam, there is a negative marking for incorrect responses. Therefore, you are advised not to do guesswork.
• Avoid spending too much time on any question: While attempting the exam, do not get stuck in any question. If you are unable to understand the question, then leave that. Be careful, while attempting questions based on puzzles.

After completing the SBI PO Exam, all the selected candidates will join the branch as Junior Manager Stage – 1 for the Probation Period of 2 years. SBI PO Salary

The initial basic salary offered to an SBI Probationary Officer is Rs 41,960 (with 4 advanced increments). As per the revised Bipartite Settlement With four advance increments in the compensation size of a Probationary Officer is 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. This means the PO will get a basic of Rs 36000 with an increment of Rs 1490 for the next 7 years, followed by a basic of Rs 46430 with an annual increment of Rs 1740 for the next two years and so on.  The maximum basic salary will be Rs 63840.
