TISSNET 2020 Result (To be Released on Feb 4)

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will announce the results for TISSNET 2020 examination on February 4, 2020. The TISSNET scorecards 2020 wil be available on the official website of TISS (tiss.edu). Candidates can log in using their registered E-mail ID and password to access the TISSNET 2020 result. After the result declaration, the candidates will have to appear for counselling sessions. Candidates for Mumbai campus will have to appear for Pre Interview Test (PIT) first followed by the Personal Interview (PI) round. The Merit list for the PIT and PI has now been released in online mode. candidates can check the list by clicking here. TISSNET 2020 will be conducted in January for admission to various TISS campuses. The test is conducted for all its centers at Tuljapur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, IMHST Chennai, Guwahati, MHAT Calicut, and G-SET Ranchi.

TISSNET is a computer-based entrance test for all MA programmes and the MA programmes are very popular with the candidates who are looking at a career in management and its other branches. TISS conducts TISS National Entrance Test (TISS-NET) for admission to about 55 of its Programs. TISS has 21 schools and 45 centers offering a variety of programmes. Courses offered at TISS range from policy making to the social sector. Candidates can apply for MA in Social Entrepreneurship, MA in Globalisation and labour, MA in Human Resource Labour Relations and Management.

  • The result of TISSNET 2020 is valid for one year. 
  • The shortlisted candidates are called by TISSNET accepting colleges for a PIT (Pre-Interview Test) /Group Discussion (GD) and PI (Personal Interview) rounds.
  • TISSNET 2020 selection process is expected to start in the month of March 2020.
  • According to the marks secured in all selection rounds, a merit list is prepared for final admissions.
  • The final TISSNET 2020 result will be issued in the month of April 2020 on the official website of TISS.

Once candidates clear the written test, the shortlisted candidates will appear in the further selection rounds such as the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The exam will have a descriptive format and there will be questions from a case study focusing on the socio-economic, socio-political and social issues at the macro and micro level. Certain selected programmes may also have logical analysis, simple mathematics and reasoning with figures as a part of the written exam.

Important Points-Final Selection

After candidates are shortlisted, they are required to pay the stipulated fees which differ category wise to confirm their admission. If a candidate fails to pay the fees then he/she may have to face cancellation of his/her provisional admission. The seat will be then given to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list. The fee needs to be paid online through either credit/debit cards or net banking.

TISSNET MBA Result/ Scorecard 2020

There are a few details which are mentioned on the TISSNET MBA 2020 scorecard such as

  • Score/Marks obtained

TISSNET 2020 Post Result Declaration

The TISSNET 2019 merit list will be prepared considering the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the application form. So the candidates must be very careful while indicating the preferences on the application form because that preference will be reflected on the TISSNET 2020 merit list.

If there is a tie between two candidates then the marks of the personal interview of both the candidate will be considered and the one with more marks in Personal interview. If the tie persists then the PIT marks of the candidates will be considered. If then also the tie persists then the score of the entrance examination of both the candidates are considered. The ultimate way to resolve is the candidate of higher age would be chosen. 

After preparing the merit list of all the programme the list will be uploaded on the official website. Each candidate will receive a scorecard indicating each of the components of the examination. 

There will be a separate list for the waiting list candidates. This list will also be reflected on the official site.
