How to Apply for TISSNET 2018

Candidates can fill the online application form after reading the following instructions.

Instructions for Filling the Application Form:

  • Candidates can apply for a maximum of 3 programmes in any two of the TISS Campuses and other Centre locations. After reading the programme details, candidates are advised to make their choice of programmes carefully. Once the admission is complete, changes to the programmes will not be allowed.
  • Candidates are requested to read carefully through the eligibility norms given here before filling up the application form.
  • Unemployed candidates, whose parent’s / guardian’s annual income from all the sources for the Financial Year 2016-17 is less than Rs.2.5 Lakhs for SC/ST and Rs.1 lakh for OBC(NC) are required to pay Rs.250/- as Concessional Application Fee for each programme. However, they should upload the necessary certificates.
  • Candidates will have to upload/attach relevant certificates strictly in the given size and format.
  • A candidate can apply for multiple programmes and can pay for each of those programmes in one TISSNET application online form. 
  • Candidates should not fill more than one TISSNET application form.  If a candidate has filled more than one online form, all applications will be cancelled.

Steps to Fill Application Form:

  • The candidate must register with an email address. The candidate will be sent a password which is to be used to login and fill the online form.
  • After login, candidates have to fill in their basic details, academic details and have to mention the programmes they wish to apply for in the order of preference.
  • Pay the application fee (depending on the number of programmes applied) either by depositing cash in any branch of SBI or through Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
  • After successful payment of fees, candidates will have to scan and upload the photograph, signature, mark sheet of the last exam passed and other necessary certificates.
  • The candidate should take a print of the Confirmation Page and keep it safe for future reference.

TISSNET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have completed graduation of minimum three years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 pattern) are eligible to apply for TISSNET.
  • The candidates who are in the final year of their graduation are eligible to apply. However, they must have passed in all the subjects of first to fourth semester (in 3-year degree programme) and first to the sixth semester (in 4-year degree programme).
  • The candidates must be able to complete their final year Bachelor’s degree programme latest by 2nd June, 2018.
  • The final year students will be provided provisional admission. However, such candidates will be required to submit the proof of completing their graduation latest by 30th September, 2018. If they fail to do so, their provisional admission will be cancelled.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation through correspondence can also apply provided the Institute / University / College is recognised by UGC/AICTE.
