TS POLYCET 2020 Exam Pattern

TS POLYCET 2020 is an offline exam. i.e., pen and paper-based. The candidates will have to mark answers on the OMR sheet. The exam consists of three subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.  To ace such an entrance examination, candidates are required to have a particular preparation strategy. Knowing about the TS POLYCET 2020 exam pattern and the marking scheme is considered to be the basic steps or elements of such a strategy. Highlights of TS POLYCET Exam Pattern 2020

Here are certain important pointers related to the exam pattern of TS POLYCET 2020:

  • The mode of the exam is offline.

  • The span of time allotted for one paper in 2 hours.

  • The questions are asked from three major subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  • There are a total number of 120 questions which will be asked in the paper.

  • The type of the questions which are to be asked in TS POLYCET is multiple choice (MCQs). Candidates will be given four options and asked to choose any one correct answer from them.

  • Candidates will be able to use any of the two languages i.e English or Telugu to answer the question paper.

  • The total marks allotted for the examination is 120.

  • Candidates appearing in the entrance are allowed to use just HB/2B pencil to answer the questions. Use of ball point pens might lead to cancellation of the answer sheets.

TS POLYCET 2020 Marking Scheme

Knowing about the marking scheme of the TS POLYCET 2020 entrance examination will help the candidates answer the question paper according to the priority of the various sections. 

Here are the certain important highlights of the marking scheme:

  • Total marks allotted for the examination is 120.

  • Candidates will get one mark for answering a single question correctly.

  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

  • There are three major sections in the question paper. The Physics and Chemistry sections carry 30 marks each, whereas 60 marks have been allotted for the Mathematics section. To know more, candidates are advised to give a glance at the table below.

In Telangana, Polytechnic seats in government and private colleges are divided into two categories viz., Convenor Quota and Management Quota. TS POLYCET rank is mandatory to get admission under Convenor quota. However, for management quota, entrance exam rank is not necessary. Therefore, you can get admission in a private polytechnic college through management quota. For management quota admission, you will have to directly visit the respective college to get admission.
