Candidates who aspire to appear in the TS POLYCET 2020 entrance examination must be aware of the TS POLYCET 2020 eligibility criteria which must be fulfilled by the candidates. The eligibility criteria of TS POLYCET 2020 is laid by the examination conducting authority. It is to be noted that if a candidate doesn't fulfil the eligibility criteria, then, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the entrance exam.
TS POLYCET is a state-level entrance examination which is conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana with the aim of offering admission to the various polytechnic courses offered by different Private and Government colleges in the state of Telangana.
Knowing about the detailed eligibility criteria of TS POLYCET 2020 before applying for the exam is considered a must for all the candidates. The eligibility criteria of TS POLYCET 2020 includes the nationality, domicile requirements, age limit, qualifying examination, educational level, mandatory subjects etc. Once the candidates are sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for TS POLYCET 2020, they can proceed further with the application form filling and rest of the formalities required to appear in the entrance exam.
Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria given below:
The candidates should be India national. Candidates with no Indian citizenship should not apply for the entrance.
Candidates below the age of 15 will not be able to appear in the TS POLYCET 2020 entrance. There is no upper limit for age to appear in the entrance examination.
Only the candidates belonging to the state of Telangana can apply for this entrance examination.Candidates must possess the domicile of Telangana state.
Candidates will have to qualify in the SSC exam from the State of Telengana if they wish to appear in the TS POLYCET 2020.
It is to be noted that the SSC examination should either be conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education of the State of Telengana or the State of Andhra Pradesh.
There are certain mandatory subjects which the candidates should have in the qualifying exam. These subjects include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates who pass their Secondary level examination from different boards like Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), AP Open School Society and other examination recognized the Telangana Government are also eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
The minimum qualifying marks to be scored by the candidates is 35%. It is to be noted that candidates must have 35% in each subject.

There are two seats reserved for the candidates belonging to the Anglo India community.
1% reservation is offered to the students who are a part of the National Cadet Corps.
Apart from this 33.3 % of total seats in all non-minority co-educational institutes are reserved for the girl candidates.
