XLRI Jamshedpur will release the XAT 2026 exam centres list with the notification. The exam will be conducted in 76 cities across India. Each city can have multiple XAT exam centres in 2026 where the exam will be conducted. The exam conducting authority assigns the XAT exam centres to the candidates based on the preferences filled during the XAT application process. Once you submit the XAT application process and your options are locked, you will not be able to change your XAT exam centre preferences. Every year, XLRI Jamshedpur releases the XAT 2026 exam centres online on the official website. The XAT 2026 exam centres list is yet to be announced, and so till then, students can go through the tentative exam centres list. 

How to Select Exam Centres for XAT 2026?

The XAT 2026 exam centres can be selected online on the official website during the registration process. Students can go through the steps to select the XAT 2026 exam centres given below. 

• Complete the XAT 2026 registration process on the official website.
• Fill in all the required details in the application form, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• When prompted, you will need to select your preferred exam centre from the list of available options.
• You will be asked to provide two exam centre preferences, so carefully consider your choices before submitting.
• Submit your preferences and proceed to pay the XAT application fee to finalise the application process.

Candidates are not allowed to modify their exam centre choices in XAT 2026 after they have submitted the application form. Candidates must also note that the final allotment of the exam centres depends on XLRI, and your exam centre may be allotted from outside of your entered preferences. However, in practice, it rarely happens that a candidate does not get allotted their first or second preferred centre.

XAT 2026 Exam Centre Instructions

When candidates arrive at their XAT 2026 exam centres, they must take note of the following important instructions.

• Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
• Carry the XAT 2026 admit card and a valid photo ID for verification.
• Electronic devices, including mobile phones and calculators, are not permitted inside the exam hall.
• Wear comfortable clothing, adhering to any guidelines specified in the admit card.
• Personal items such as bags, jackets, and food items may not be allowed inside the exam room.
• Listen carefully to the invigilator's instructions regarding the exam process.
• Use the rough paper provided for calculations, if any, and return it before leaving.
• Produce the required documents whenever they are requested by the exam conducting authorities.

What to Bring to XAT Exam Centre 2026

The XAT admit card 2026 serves as a valid document for the identification of candidates aspiring to take the exam since it contains essential details like the candidate's name, photograph, signature, and registration number. It is crucial for the candidates to present a valid admit card to verify their identity on the exam day. 

Without the XAT admit card 2026, candidates may not be allowed to enter the exam centre because only the candidates who have registered for the exam are to be admitted. The hall ticket will provide important information such as the date and time of the XAT exam, the exam center details, and instructions for candidates to follow on the exam day.

• Electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops, calculators, digital cameras, smartwatches, and any electronic devices with communication or recording capabilities 
• Bags and purses
• Study material or additional sheets
