Conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on January 3, 2021, the exam was held for admission to their Business Management and Human Resource Management programs. The 2021 exam adhered to the revised pattern introduced in 2020, featuring a total of 100 questions across four sections. These sections included Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and an essay writing component. The XAT 2021 paper comprised 101 multiple-choice questions and one essay. Memory-based answer keys for XAT 2021 are available to assist candidates in evaluating their performance. XLRI and XAMI focused solely on the first 75 questions from the first three sections of XAT 2021 for final evaluation. Candidates had to complete Part 1 before accessing the GK section in Part 2, with no extra time allocated for GK. The number of questions varied slightly, and the marking scheme was largely similar, with minor changes in negative marking.

The XAT Exam Analysis 2021 provides insights into the exam’s difficulty and performance metrics. The Verbal and Logical Ability section, worth 26 marks, was relatively easy, with candidates making 16–18 good attempts.
