XAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is one of the most common management entrance exam conducted nationally for the aspirants who wish to do MBA and PGDM courses from reputed B-School of India. Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur conducts this examination every year. Interested candidates can apply for the examination through its official website. But before applying for it, candidates are recommended to know the eligibility criteria of XAT 2019. It is important for candidates to know the eligibility criteria as it will help them to know whether they can apply for the entrance exam or not. XAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria has remained the same over the years. No changes in the eligibility criteria has been reported so far by the concerned authority. The eligibility criteria mainly defines age limit, required educational background, nationality, reservation policy, etc. As far as XAT is concerned there is no age limit for its aspirants. According to XAT Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates should have done their bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration from any recognized university or institute.
  • Those candidates who will complete their final year examination by 10th June 2019 may also appear for XAT 2019 exam.
  • Only Indian, Dubai and Kathmandu candidates can apply directly for XAT Exam 2019. While NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score.
  • There is no minimum percentage in Bachelor's Degree required for the XAT Exam 2019.
  • There is no age limit prescribed to appear in the XAT 2019 exam.

XLRI Programme: XAT Eligibility Criteria

After applying for XAT Exam, candidates have the option to apply for admission to 11 member colleges of XLRI, which use XAT scores. Let’s check out the eligibility criteria and determining factors required for the programmes offered by XLRI.

Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM)

  • Total number of seats offered by XLRI in these two programmes are 180 each.

  • Candidates interested in taking admission in BM and HRM must have a valid XAT scorecard along with the 3-year Bachelor's degree from any recognised university or institutes.

  • Candidates with Bachelor degree in a management course will be a plus point at the time of Selection Process of XAT 2019.

  • Candidates with result awaited or about to appear for the finals of the graduation degree by 10th June 2019, are also eligible for these courses.

Global Business Management

  • There are a total of 20 seats available for the aspirants of this course in XLRI.

  • A valid Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed college or institution is a must to be produced at the time admission process.

  • Scorecard of XAT 2019 or GMAT 2019 will be accepted for the admission in the two-year Global Management Business course offered by XLRI.

General Management Programme (GMP)

  • GMP candidates should have a Bachelor degree in India or 5 years managerial/ supervisory experiences in abroad by 31st March 2019.

  • Candidates can apply through either XAT Exam 2019 or GMAT 2019 score.

  • 180 seats in the one-year GMP programme is available for its aspirants.

1. What is the eligibility criteria for taking XAT 2019?

  • Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. 
  • All Indian candidates can appear for XAT 2018. However, NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates also have an option of appearing for XAT 2018).

2. Am I eligible for XLRI and other Associate Members by applying for XAT 2019?

3. I have less than 50% in graduation, am I eligible to apply for XLRI?

Yes, you are eligible to apply for XLRI.

4. I am in the final year of my graduation, am I eligible to register for XLRI? 

Yes, you will be eligible for admission to XLRI. You will be required to complete your final year examination by a certain date.
