GAT-B Exam Pattern 2023

GAT-B and BET 2023 exam pattern is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As per the schedule, National Testing Agency conducted GAT-B and BET 2023 on 13 May 2023. GAT-B 2023 examination timing are from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM. BET 2023 will be held in the afternoon session starting at 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

GAT-B Exam Pattern 2023

The GAT-B will be conducted in online mode. The questions will be multiple-choice type questions. The medium of the paper will be English only. The duration of the written test will be for 3 hours. The GAT-B paper will consist of 2 parts: Part A and Part B. There will be a total of 160 questions and 120 is the number of questions to be attempted for a total of 240 marks. Section  A will have 60 compulsory multiple-choice questions of the level of 10+2 in the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Section B will have multiple choice questions of bachelor’s level requiring thinking and analysis. There will be questions from Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and allied areas. There will be 100 questions out of which the candidates will have to attempt 60 questions.

GAT-B 2023 Marking Scheme

For the GAT-B 2023, there will be objective-type questions where the candidates will be given 4 options for each question. Out of the 4 options, the candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided. The marking scheme for both Part A and B for the GAT-B exam is given below:

BET 2023 Exam Pattern

The BET 2023 will be conducted in online mode. The questions will be multiple-choice type questions. The medium of the paper will be English only. The duration of the written test will be for 3 hours. The BET 2023 paper will consist of 2 parts: Section A and Section B. There will be a total of 200 questions and 100 is the number of questions to be attempted for a total of 300 marks. In Section A Questions related to (General Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, General Aptitude, Analytical, Quantitative Ability and General Biotechnology) are asked and In Section B (Specific areas of Biotechnology as per syllabus given).
