Detailed GAT B Exam Pattern 2026

GAT B exam pattern 2026 will include multiple-choice questions and will be taken online. The exam will be held in English with a duration of 3 hours. GAT B question paper 2026 will have two parts: Part A and Part B. There will be a total of 160 questions, with 120 to be attempted for a total of 240 marks. 

  • Section A of GAT B 2026 question paper includes 60 compulsory multiple-choice questions at the 10+2 level in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • Section B of GAT B question paper 2026 will include bachelor's level multiple-choice questions that require critical thinking and analysis. There will be questions from Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and allied areas as per GAT B exam pattern 2026. There will be 100 questions out of which the candidates will have to attempt 60 questions.
