GAT- B & BET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology/Biotechnology Eligibility Test is a national entrance exam for postgraduate programmes in biotechnology and related fields. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree (B.E./ B.Tech./M.B.B.S) and Masters (M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.VSc./M. Pharm./ Integrated M.Sc./ M.Tech.) in any discipline of Biotechnology, Life Sciences such as Biomedical, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Botany, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Zoology or any other allied areas of Biology/Life-Sciences are eligible for BET 2024 exam. Candidates admitted in any of the M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.VSc./ M.Sc.(Agri) programmes supported under the DBT Post Graduate Teaching Programme shall be eligible to GAT-B & BET 2024 application form. Candidates with a relevant BSc degree in the Science stream can apply for GAT-B-2024 as per GAT-B eligibility criteria 2024. The minimum percentage required to apply for GAT B is 50 percent. Candidates must be genuine citizens and residents of India. To apply for GAT B or BET 2024, candidates must be at least 28 years old. GAT-B 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Only bonafide Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the entrance examination of GAT-B 2024.
• Candidates applying for GAT-B 2024 must meet the minimum GAT B & BET eligibility criteria 2024 of the participating colleges/universities; otherwise, their candidature may be cancelled at a later stage. The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) will not bear responsibility for this. Candidates should check the college's minimum GAT-B & BET 2024 eligibility criteria before applying.
• Candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC or those with disabilities must have a minimum of 50% in their bachelor's degree from an accredited college as per GAT-B 2024 eligibility criteria.
• Candidates applying for M.V.Sc. Animal Biotechnology must have a bachelor's degree in B.V.Sc. and AH with a minimum score of 60% marks from an accredited college or university.
• Candidates applying for the M.Tech in Biotechnology must have a B.Tech or B.E degree in this field as per GAT-B eligibility criteria 2024.
• Candidates applying for the M.Sc. in Allied areas/Agricultural Biotechnology must have a bachelor's degree in this field.

Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates can check the BET 2024 eligibility criteria mentioned below.

• Nationality- Must be a bonafide citizen and resident of India.
• Marks- The candidates appearing for BET 2024 must have scored a minimum of 60% if they represent General/OBC & EWS category. For SC/ST/ and Differently abled categories, the candidates must score a minimum of 55% in aggregate as per BET eligibility criteria 2024.
• Age Limit- The candidates must not have crossed the age of 28 Years on the last date of application for the General/EWS category. The age relaxation is given for up to 5 Years (33 Years) for SC/ST/Differently Abled/Women Candidates and up to 3 Years (31 Years) for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• Candidates in the final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for BET 2024 under the Result Awaited (RA) Category. Such candidates must submit a signed undertaking from the head of the institute where they are pursuing their qualifying degree as per BET 2024 eligibility criteria.
• Academic Qualification- The candidates must have completed Bachelors (B.E./ B.Tech. /M.B.B.S) and Masters (M.Sc./ M.Tech. /M. Pharm./ M.
