MBA aspirants seeking admission in IGNOU will not have to go through the OPENMAT exam this year. All they need to do is fill out the application form to get enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate management courses.
The syllabus for IGNOU OPENMAT is the same as any other management exam. It is conducted twice a year for admission to the MBA program, but it is cancelled for 2022. The syllabus includes topics from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
However, IGNOU has not set any syllabus for the OPENMAT entrance examination and the syllabus is not given in the OPENMAT prospectus. The topics mentioned here are on the basis of the previous years’ IGNOU OPENMAT question papers.
General Awareness- It has questions pertaining to current affairs, constitution, government, laws, achievements, history, geography, famous people, economy, politics, etc.
English Language-This section has reading comprehension and candidates have to answer multiple-choice questions based on the passage. It also has questions about grammar and vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms, etc.
Reasoning-This section tests a candidate’s reasoning skills and questions are on topics such as critical reasoning, statements, conclusions, symbol-based problems, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude- It tests a candidate’s quantitative and numerical ability. Some of the most common topics are algebra, HCF, LCM, statistics, trigonometry, and number systems.
