INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2026

AIIMS Delhi determines the INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2026. According to it, students must have completed MBBS from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to appear for the INI CET 2026 Exam. Apart from this, students are also required to secure a minimum of 50-55% marks in their Bachelor’s to be eligible. Those who have not completed the mandatory 1-year rotating internship will not be qualified to appear for the entrance exam. 

The INI CET 2026 Exam is a gateway to MD, M.Ch, MS, and DM admission across the AIIMS institutes. The INI CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria are different for Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals. INI CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals

The detailed list of INI CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals has been provided below for your reference:

  • All students are required to pass the MBBS Degree for MD/MS/DM/MCh and a BDS Degree for MDS from NMC / MCI and a DCI-recognized university.
  • It is mandatory to complete the 1-year rotary internship or practical training after MBBS on or before December 31 of the applying year. The internship is an experience required in all INI institutes. 
  • The Indian Nationals who have graduated from Indian colleges will have to attain 55% aggregate marks for OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST categories in their MBBS/BDS degree. 
  • The admission eligibility of Institutes of National Importance (INIs) may vary from one college to another. Students must check the official websites for their details. 

INI CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

For Foreign Nationals, the INI CET 2026 eligibility criteria are a bit different. They are as follows:

  • The academic qualifications for foreign nationals are the same as mentioned above in eligibility for Indian students.
  • Along with the academic qualification, the students must have completed 12 months of internship or training in the medical departments.
  • The foreign students must have obtained a certificate of grading system from a recognized University / Institution to estimate the value of grading in percentage for admission to the Indian colleges.
  • The calculated marks achieved by the foreign national candidate must be filled in the ‘Marks Column’ during registration for the completion of the application for the INI CET 2026 before the last date.
  • According to the INI CET eligibility criteria 2026, the minimum marks required for foreign students are 55% aggregate in all examinations of MBBS / BDS professional courses.
  • The No Objection Certificate (NOC) must be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to the students applying for the INI CET exam 2026. It must be submitted by the students before the specified last date. It must be noted that the NOC is issued only by the Ministry of External Affairs and will not be considered valid for INI CET. 

INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for Indian Nationals Graduating Abroad

The INI CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Indian nationals graduating from any foreign university are listed below.

  • Candidates must pass the FMGE exam to appear for INI CET 2026

  • Candidates who are appearing for the FMGE exam will be eligible after showing the FMGE Pass Certificate.
