Detailed INI CET 2026 Seat Allotment Process

The process of INI CET seat allotment for the January 2026 session runs concurrently with the counseling rounds, emphasizing the importance of candidates adhering to specified timelines and promptly accepting their allotments. Here is an overview of the seat allotment process for INI CET 2026:

Step 1: Registration

• Candidates register themselves on the official website of aiimsexams.org to apply for the INI CET counselling 2026
• After this registration process is completed, a new candidate ID and password will be generated

Step 2: Filling the preferences

In this step, candidates have to log in to their registered account and follow these instructions

• Click on ‘Make Choice’ option
• To add a choice, select the preferred AIIMS institute
• Now click on ‘Add Choice’
• To remove a choice, click on the ‘Delete’ option next to the drop-down
• After filling in the preferences, click on ‘Save’ 
• Recheck your preferences and confirm the choices

Step 3: Allotment Result & Campus Placement

• Based on the candidate’s registered preference, the seat allotment list is prepared. 
• After the seat allotment is done, the candidates must check if there are any chances of mistake correction. If the candidate’s fail to fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature may get cancelled. 

Step 5: Release of INI CET 2026 Seat Allotment 

• After the INI CET seat allotment 2026 will be released, the final list of candidates is prepared. The candidates can check the seat allotment to know if their names are displayed on the list or not
• After the INI CET seat allotment, the candidates can accept or reject the seat

Step 6: INI CET Seat Allotment 2026

The candidates who make it to the seat allotment list of INI CET 2026 will have to choose whether they want to ‘accept’ or ‘refuse’ the seat allotted to them in the list. After logging into their registered account, they have to choose from the following options for complete procedure: 

• Option 1: The candidate who wishes to continue with the seat allocated to him/her, and does not wish to participate in the further rounds of INI CET counselling 2026
• Option 2: The candidate who either accepts the seat allocated to him/her, but would like to participate in the next round of INI CET 2026 counselling
• Option 3: This round is when the candidate refuses the seat allocated to him/her, but wishes to participate for the next round of counselling of INI CET 2026
• Option 4: The candidate refuses the seat allocated to him/her in the INI CET counsellling and also opts out of the next round of counselling for INI CET 2026

Step 7: Reporting to the Allocated Colleges

• The candidates who accept the seat allocated to them in INI CET 2026 counselling process have to report to the allotted institute for the verification of the documents. Those who fail to report to the respective institute will lose the seat allocated to them and will not be eligible to participate in the next round of counselling process. However, the candidate can, participate in the open/stray round of INI CET counselling 2026.

What After INI CET 2026 Seat Allotment?

Candidates who have been allotted seats during the INI CET counselling rounds of the January session will have to log in using their credentials and choose to accept/ reject the seats. Aspirants have 2 options to choose from during the INI CET 2026 seat allotment rounds:

• Option 1: Accept the INI CET 2026 allotted seat and not continue to participate in further rounds of INI CET counselling sessions.
• Option 2: Accept the INI CET 2026 allotted seat and continue to participate in subsequent INI CET 2026 counselling rounds

If candidates choose option 2 during the INI CET 2026 seat allotment process, they have to join the designated college within the specified date. The seat allotted in the INI CET 2026 first round will be left vacant and will be automatically allotted to another aspirant based on merit. Aspirants who are unable to join the INI CET 2026 allotted seat will lead to imposition of a penalty of Rs. 3 lakhs. Lastly, aspirants who have been allotted a seat through INI CET counselling 2026 will need to report to the INI CET 2026 allotted colleges along with relevant documents for verification and completion of the INI CET 2026 admission for the January session.
