IPMAT 2023 Academic Requirement

The academic requirement is slightly different as per the category of the candidates. Check the details given below.

• General Category - Candidates belonging to the general category must have cleared Senior secondary school certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate, or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in both.

• SC/ ST/ PwD Category - Candidates belonging to SC/ ST or PwD category must have cleared Senior secondary school certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate or any other equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate in both.

IPMAT 2023 Age Requirement

IIM Indore has specified an upper age limit for candidates to be eligible for IPMAT 2023. A relaxation in the age limit is provided to reserved category candidates. Check the requirements given below.

• General Category - The candidate must be no more than 20 years of age by July 31, 2023. That is, Candidates born on or after August 1, 2002.

• 5 years of age relaxation is provided to SC/ST/PwD candidates and they should not be more than 25 years of age by July 31, 2023. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PwD category born after August 1, 1997, are eligible.

Note that, candidates who are still studying in Class 12th or awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the course. However, such candidates can only be granted provisional admission and will be required to submit proof of eligibility before the final admission.

Percentage Calculation for IPMAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must note the following points when they are calculating their Class 10th and Class 12th percentages to check eligibility for IPMAT 2023.

• The percentage of marks earned in X and XII by the applicant would be determined on the basis of the combined marks of all subjects found in the mark sheet/ grade sheet, regardless of the regulations of the Board.

• In the event that the candidates are awarded letter grades or grade points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the conversion method from where the certificate was obtained from.

IPMAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Candidates About to Complete Class 12th

Candidates who are still studying in Class 12th must note the following before they apply for IPMAT 2023.

• Candidates likely to complete class 12 / HSC or equivalent by the end of June 30, 2023, may also apply, subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. If selected, those candidates will be offered provisional admission to the program.

• Such candidates must produce standard mark sheets of X and XII at the time of registration for the program (securing minimum marks, i.e. 60 percent for General and NC-OBC or 55 percent for SC, ST, and PwD) together with school leaving certificates/ migration certificates, otherwise, the provisional admission offer will be cancelled.
