JEE Main Seat Allotment 2022

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the JoSAA seat allotment round 3 result on October 3, 2022. Through seat allotment result, candidates will get to know what college they got. Earlier, JoSAA released the Round 1 and Round 2 seat allotment result on the official website josaa.nic.in on September 23 and September 28. Candidates can able to check and download the seat allotment using their application number and password. The JoSAA 2022 First mock allotment result was released on September 18, 2022 and the JoSAA 2022 Second mock allotment result was released on September 20, 2022. Candidates who complete the JEE Main choice filling process are considered for the JEE Main seat allotment 2022. JoSAA conducts the online counselling in multiple rounds, and JEE Main 2022 seat allocation is notified accordingly. After each phase of JEE Main seat allotment 2022, aspirants must choose whether to accept admission or move on to the next round. During the JEE Main 2022 seat assignment procedure, candidates must choose amongst float, freeze, slide, and withdraw.

How to Check Seat Allotment of JEE Main 2022?

Applicants of JEE Main are advised to check the seat allotment of JEE Main following the given Steps. 

Step 1: Candidates must visit the official site of JoSAA 2022

Step 2: A new window will open on the Screen of the applicant

Step 3: Candidates will find a link that says ‘view seat allotment for Round ( )’

Step 4: As soon as the candidate clicks on that link the candidates will be redirected to a new page where they need to fill up the required credentials such as registration number and password. 

Step 5: After logging in the candidates will be able to check the seat allocation 

Step 6: Applicants are advised to download the seat allotment result and take a printout of the seat allocation call letter. 

Post Seat Allotment of JEE Main 2022

The candidates are allocated seats based on the availability of the seat during the JEE Main 2022 seat allotment process. The merit and preferences filled up by the candidate are also considered while allocating the seat to the applicants. 

Once the seat is allocated the candidates will have to either Freeze, Float, slide or Withdraw their seat

  • If the candidates are satisfied with the seat that they are allocated, then they can Freeze the seat.

  • If the candidates wish to keep the seat allotted but also wants to participate in the next seat allotment, then they will have to choose Float. This might help the applicants get an up-gradation. 

  • If the candidate wants to keep the seat but wants to change the institute then they can choose the Slide option

  • If the applicant has already accepted a seat, he can withdraw the seat by reporting to the institute at the time of allocation. 

To confirm the seats, the candidates will have to pay the fees through Net Banking or E-Challan. The Seat acceptance fee is 45000 for all the candidates except the reserved categories. The reserved category candidates will have to pay 20,000 for the confirmation of their set. 

[Reserved category includes - Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with Disability, Other Backward Class]

The National Testing Agency (NTA) publishes the list of JEE Main 2022 participating institutes on its official website. The list of JEE Main 2022 participating institutes that will accept admissions based on JEE Main 2022 ranks will be updated in this page. Dear Student,

The new exam date for JEE Main April & May 2021 is expected to be announced anytime soon in June. The online registration for JEE Main May 2021 will begin after the confirmation of the exam date. As CBSE, ISC and other boards canceled the 12th exams, the government will look forward to conducting JEE Main Phase 3 & 4 as early as possible. In all probability, the exam process of JEE Main 2021 is expected to be wrapped up by August.

Can I apply for JEE Main entrance exam 2021?

Dear Student,

You cannot apply for JEE Main 2021 exam as the registration process has been already closed on January 23, 2021. The application form correction is going to start from January 27 to 30, 2021.

However, you can try again for Phase 2 exam registration which will start in March 2021. You can also check JEE Main Registration to check the complete details.
