About Kerala LLB Entrance Exam 2022

The application form for KLEE 2022 is now out. The KLEE 2022 application forms for 3-year LL.B and 5-year LL.B have been released by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. The interested candidates can fill up the 3-year LL.B application form by August 10, 2022, and 5-year LL.B candidates can fill up the form by August 6, 2022. The KLEE 2022 exam for 5-year LL.B will be held on August 27, 2022. Whereas, the exam dates for 3-year LL.B and LL.M will soon be released. 

Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala for students seeking admission into both Integrated Five-Year LL.B course and Three-Year LL.B course in the state of Kerala. The candidates who will clear the examination can participate in the KLEE centralised allotment process (CAP) for the seat allotment in law colleges. 4 law colleges and around 20 private self-financed colleges in Kerala participate in the KLEE CAP. 

Candidates who pass the exam can participate in the KLEE centralised allotment process (CAP) for the allotment of seats in the law colleges. There are 4 law colleges and around 20 private self-financing law colleges in Kerala that participate in CAP.

The intake for the 3-year program is 625 seats and 1295 seats for the 5-year integrated program. The exam will be conducted in online mode and will have 200 questions. The final decision regarding admission into both the Integrated Five-Years and Three-Years LLB course after qualifying the Kerala LL.B entrance examination will remain in the hands of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala which will also depend on the display of merit by the candidates in the entrance examination.

Kerala LL.B Entrance Exam Conducting Body

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala is responsible for conducting the Kerala LL.B entrance exam for providing admissions into both Integrated Five-Year and Three-Year LL.B courses offered by various Government and Private/Self-Financed Law college in the state of Kerala. The candidates after completing their respective courses will be eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act of 1961.

Kerala LL.B 2022 Entrance Exam Application Process

The KLEE 2022 application form will be provided online at cee.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates have to fill up and submit the online application form within the mentioned date. In the application process, the students need to register themselves, fill-up the form, pay the fees, upload images and certificates and print the acknowledgement form. While filling up the application form, candidates must be aware of providing only the correct and valid details. The application process includes:

Candidates who will appear for KLEE 2022 should know the admission process. The steps included in the Kerala LL.B 2022 entrance exam admission process are as follows:

Kerala LL.B 2022 Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for 3-year and 5-year LL.B courses are discussed below. The candidates who want to apply for the KLEE 2022 3-year and 5-year LL.B courses must be Indian citizens. 

Kerala 3-year LL.B 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who want to apply for the 3-year LL.B course must have completed their graduation from the University of Kerala or any other board which is recognized by Kerala University. General candidates need to have at least 45% aggregate marks in their graduation, whereas the economically backward candidates should have 42% followed by SC and ST category candidates who should have 40% to appear for the exam. There is as such no lower age limit for the candidates to apply for the examination but the upper age limit is decided by the Supreme Court. 

Kerala 5-year LL.B 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed their secondary examination (10+2) with first class from the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or a recognized board accepted by Kerala University. Only those candidates who are of Kerala origin appear for the KLEE 2022. Interested candidates should have 45% aggregate marks, economically backward class candidates should have passed with 42% marks and SC/ST candidates should have scored 40%. The minimum age of the candidates must be 17 years and the upper age limit will be decided by the Honourable Supreme Court. 

Kerala LL.B 2022 Entrance Exam Syllabus

Candidates appearing for the Kerala LL.B 2022 entrance exam must be well versed with the complete syllabus. The 3-year LL.B and 5-year LL.B syllabi are the same but the difficulty level of the examination might differ. Candidates should note that the 3-year LL.B exam is a graduate level examination whereas the 5-year LL.B exam is an undergraduate level examination.

Kerala LL.B 2022 Entrance Exam Pattern

Kerala LL.B 2022 entrance exam pattern is same for both 3-year LL.B and 5-year LL.B.

  • The KLEE 2022 will be held in online (computer-based test) mode.
  • A total of 200 questions are asked in the examination.
  • The total marks for the examination are 600.
  • There are altogether 4 sections.
  • The questions asked in the exam are objective type.
  • The total time duration for both the exams is 2 hours.
  • For every correct answer +3 will be awarded and -1 for every wrong answer.

Kerala LL.B 2022 Entrance Exam Admit Card

The admit card for the Kerala LL.B 2022 entrance exam will be available on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates must remember that the admit cards will not be sent by post. There will be separate links to download the 3-year and 5-year LL.B admit cards. Take a printout of the admit card and carry it on the day of the examination.
