About Kerala LLB Entrance Exam 2020 (Round 3 Seat Allotment List Out)

CEE has announced the round 3 KLEE 2020 Seat Allotment Results 2020. The list carrying the name of the shortlisted students was published on the official website and candidates have to enter their Application Number and Password to check the list. CEE Kerala had commenced the Option Confirmation/Deletion/Re-Arrangement of KLEE 2020 counselling for the second phase of seat allotment process from 27th August 2020.The process closed on 6th September 2020. The second phase of allotment was conducted on 9th September 2020. Earlier, the KLEE LLB 2020 rank list for 3-year LLB was released. The exams for 3-year and 5-year LLB were successfully conducted on 20th June and 22nd June 2020 respectively.

Kerala LLB entrance exam is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala for students seeking admission into both Integrated Five-Year LL.B course and Three-Year LL.B course in the state of Kerala. 

The Integrated Five-Year LL.B course offered to the aspirants provides the candidates with a unique opportunity of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree course in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Law (eg: B.A+LL.B, B.Com+LL.B, BBA+LL.B etc). The duration of the integrated LL.B course will be for 5 years and the completion will hand the candidates two degrees together with one being a law degree. The final six months leading up to the awarding of the degree will be for the purpose of practical training. 

Candidates opting for the Three-Year LL.B course after clearing the Kerala LL.B entrance exam will be awarded the Bachelor’s degree in law and such candidates can enrol themselves as Advocates under the 1961 Advocate’s Act. Similar to the Five-Year Integrated LL.B course, the candidates have to mandatorily undergo a training period of 6 months during the final year of the course completion. 

The final decision regarding admission into both the Integrated Five-Years and Three-Years LL.B course after qualifying the Kerala LL.B entrance examination will remain in the hands of Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala which will also depend on the display of merit by the candidates in the entrance examination.

Kerala LL.B Entrance Exam Conducting Body

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala has been shouldering the responsibility of conducting the Kerala LL.B entrance exam for providing admissions into both Integrated Five-Year and Three-Year LL.B courses offered by various Government and Private/Self-Financed Law college in the state of Kerala. The candidates after completing their respective courses will be eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act of 1961.

There are many self financing private colleges that conduct admissions on the basis of KLEE. On the basis of which college you select, the free structure will vary. It will also depend on whether you take admission in a 5 year integrated LLB course or a 3 year Bachelor of Law (LL.B) programme. Since you have completed a graduation degree, you are eligible to apply for admission to the three year Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree. The integrated law course of BA LLB is for candidates who have not completed an undergraduate degree and have just passed class 12th.

The eligibility criteria to appear for KLEE (Kerala Law Entrance Exam) for LLB states that candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
