Kerala LLB entrance exam is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala for students seeking admission into both Integrated Five-Year LL.B course and Three-Year LL.B course in the state of Kerala.
The Integrated Five-Year LL.B course offered to the aspirants provides the candidates with a unique opportunity of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree course in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Law (eg: B.A+LL.B, B.Com+LL.B, BBA+LL.B etc). The duration of the integrated LL.B course will be for 5 years and the completion will hand the candidates two degrees together with one being a law degree. The final six months leading up to the awarding of the degree will be for the purpose of practical training.
Candidates opting for the Three-Year LL.B course after clearing the Kerala LL.B entrance exam will be awarded the Bachelor’s degree in law and such candidates can enrol themselves as Advocates under the 1961 Advocate’s Act. Similar to the Five-Year Integrated LL. course, the candidates have to mandatorily undergo a training period of 6 months during the final year of the course completion.
The final decision regarding admission into both the Integrated Five-Years and Three-Years LL.B course after qualifying the Kerala LL.B entrance examination will remain in the hands of Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala which will also depend on the display of merit by the candidates in the entrance examination.
