Kerala LLB Entrance Examination 2020 Eligibility Criteria for 3 years and 5 years (Integrated) courses

The Kerala LLB entrance examination 2020 eligibility criteria is prescribed by the CEE. The Commissionerate of Entrance Examination conducts the Kerala LLB entrance examination for the 3-year course and also 5 years (Integrated) courses. The Kerala LLB Entrance Examination is a state-level examination for all the law colleges of Kerala. Candidates can complete the LLB in three years and an integrated LLB in five years. 

The basic eligibility criteria for the applicants of Kerala LLB entrance examination for 3 years course is that the applicant must be 10+2 qualified. In case of the applicants of Kerala LLB entrance examination 5 years (Integrated) programme, the candidate will have to be graduate. If the applicants of the 5-year course are postgraduate, they are considered eligible to apply for this examination. 

Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The Kerala LLB entrance examination is held for the applicants who wish to pursue 3 years LLB Entrance Examination must satisfy all the Kerala LLB entrance examination 2020 eligibility criteria. There are several specifications of eligibility and the applicants must satisfy all of them. 

Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Domicile Candidates

The candidate must be an Indian. But only the applicants whose origin is in Kerala are actually eligible to apply for this examination.

Academic Qualification for Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020

  • Applicants applying for this course must be a graduate in any of the courses from the University of Kerala or any other Institute or University which is recognised by the University Kerala.

  • Candidates who want to apply must have earned 45% in the aggregate in the Graduation. Applicants belonging to Economically backward classes must score 42% and other backward classes such as Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe just need 40% to be eligible to apply for this examination. 

  • Candidates who earned first class in graduation and post graduation courses through distance or correspondence method of Education.

  • Applicants who completed graduation and post graduation from an open university would not be eligible for the academic qualification. 

  • Applicants who have appeared or appearing for the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for entrance eligibility examination. Such applicants can apply through provisional certificate and marks of all the certificates. 

Age Criteria for Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020

There is no lower limit of age for admission in 3 year LLB course. The upper age limit for students is decided by the Honorable Supreme Court. 

  • Total Number of Seats in Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020 

  • The total number of seats is calculated on the basis of the 4 government colleges and also some private self-financing law colleges. 

Reservation of Seats in Kerala 3 year LLB Entrance Exam 2020

Persons with Disabilities :

5% of the seats are reserved for all persons with physical disabilities in all Government colleges. 

Special Reservation :

  • One seat in the four government colleges has to be reserved.  The reserved categories are ex-servicemen, Children of ex-serviceman, blind candidate, sports quota, ex-paramilitary personnel. 

  • One seat in Govt. Law college Ernakulam will be reserved for candidates from Lakshadweep

  • Two seats will be reserved for NCC quota. One seat reserved in each of government colleges of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.

Mandatory Reservation: 

  • There are several categories of mandatory reservation such as 

  • State Merit reservation is 60% and for Socially and educationally backwards the reservation is 30%. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled tribe, the reservation is 10%

  • Kerala 5 year (Integrated) LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The Kerala LLB entrance examination is held for the applicants who wish to pursue 5years (Integrated) LLB Entrance Examination must satisfy all the Kerala LLB entrance examination 2020 eligibility criteria. All the applicants before applying for this examination must check the  Kerala LLB entrance examination eligibility criteria in order to be eligible to apply. 

Kerala 5 year (Integrated) LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Domicile Candidates

The candidate must be an Indian. But only the applicants whose origin is in Kerala are actually eligible to apply for this examination.

  • Academic Qualification for Kerala 5 year (Integrated) LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have qualified the higher secondary examination from the board of Higher secondary education Kerala or any other qualifying examination from any recognized University of Kerala. 

  • Candidates must have qualified the 10+2 schooling course from any recognised institute of the State or Central Government. Candidates who secure 1st class in the +12 are eligible to apply for this examination. 

  • Applicants who are appearing or already appeared for the qualifying examination will be eligible to apply for this examination. But such candidates will have to produce pass certificates. 

  • Candidates must have qualified the last qualifying examination with at least 45% marks. 

  • Applicants belonging to Economically backward classes must score 42% and other backward classes such as Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe just need 40% to be eligible to apply for this examination.

Age Criteria for Kerala 5 year (Integrated) LLB Entrance Exam 2020 

Candidates must be of 17 years old. The upper age limit for the applicants of this examination is up to the discretion of the Honorable Supreme Court.

  • The total number of seats is calculated basis the 4 government colleges and also some private self financing law colleges.
