MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment

MH CET Law seat allotment 2024 will be issued as per the respective phases of the counselling process. Please note the schedule will be different for 5-Year LLB and 3-Year LLB. Candidates are advised to check the CAP portal, once launched so that they do not miss out on any events of the counselling process.

MH CET Law 2024 counselling process will be held in four phases out of which there will be 3 CAP and 1 institute-level round. The MH CET Law 2024 web options, the number of seats available, and the reservation category will influence the seat allocation. After the seat allotment results are issued, aspirants who receive allocation have to report to the assigned colleges. How to Check the MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment Result?

The seat allotment results of MH CET Law 2024 for 5-Year and 3-Year LLB are released in two formats - One is the candidate allotment and the other is the institute-level allotment. Candidates can view their MH CET Law 2024 seat allotment results by following the below steps - 

For Candidate Allotment 

  • Aspirants have to open the link named "Check Candidate Allotment".
  • Once they open the webpage, they will find the options to select the counselling round and enter their application ID and click on " Check Your Allotment"
  • Once done successfully, candidates can view their allotment status.

For Institute-Wise Allotment List

  • Aspirants have to use the link named "Check Institute-Wise Allotment List".
  • Once they are on the webpage, they have to enter information such as which round, university, college, and division. 
  • After furnishing the above details, candidates must hit down the tab "Show Allotment List".
  • They will be able to see the institute-wise allocation data.
  • It will include the serial number, name of the applicant, eligible category, allotted type, eligible quota, allotted quota, merit / marks.

Highlights of MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment

Mentioned below are the important pointers in relation to the seat allotment of MH CET Law 2024

  • 85% of the total seats (approximate) will be reserved for candidates of the state of Maharashtra in all the Government/Government-aided minority institutions/Government-aided/ University departments / programmes.
  • 5% (approximate) of the total seats will be reserved under the NRI / OCI / PIO quota for foreign nationals or Indian candidates with foreign nationality in all the Government/Government-aided minority institutions / Government-aided/ University departments/ courses.
  • 10% (approximate) of the total seats will be reserved for candidates from the entire country in all the Government/ Government aided / University departments/ courses and Government-aided minority institutions.
  • In unaided minority institutes, 51% (approximate) of the total seats will be reserved for minority aspirants.
  • In unaided institutes, there will be no minority quota and 65% of seats are reserved for students of Maharashtra state.
  • 20% (roughly) of the total seats will be directly reserved for NRI/ OCI/ PIO/ Foreign candidates in all the unaided participating institutes. This includes a 5% quota defined for NRI / OCI / PIO / Foreign candidates.

Here are a few important pointers explaining the highlights of MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment.

  • The sanctioned seat intake for the first year of a five-year integrated degree course shall be determined by the Authority that is qualified to approve such courses and the affiliation granted by the specific Affiliating University.

  • Applicants must apply separately online for Supernumerary seats in the CAP process and submit a copy of the application form and self-attested documents to the Nodal Officer, Director, Higher Education, M.S. Pune, according to the schedule published on the CAP website..

  • The supernumerary seats shall be made available in accordance with the policy prescribed by the government from time to time.

  • Positions for admission to the professional Undergraduate Degree course in Law will be allocated according to Government Resolution.

  • Seats for admission to the professional Undergraduate Degree course in Law will be assigned to unaided and unaided Minorities per government admission guidelines.

MH CET Law 2024 Seat Allotment: Types of Candidature

Here is the list of the types of candidature for MH CET Law 2024 seat allotment -

  • Maharashtra State Candidature: A candidate who is born in Maharashtra or is the domicile of Maharashtra, or the father or mother of the applicant is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra, or the father or mother of the applicant is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking, or the candidate’s passing 10th or 12th examination and graduation and postgraduation or Equivalent Examination must be from a recognized institution from a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area. This should be someone whose mother tongue is Marathi.
  • All India Candidature: The candidates of Indian nationality are eligible under this category.
  • Minority Candidature: The Maharashtra domiciled candidate belonging to a particular or religious minority or linguistic community from within the State and as notified by the Government are eligible under the minority category.
  • NRI Candidature: The Candidate who is registered as an NRI, as declared by the Government of India.
  • Foreign Student or OCI or PIO Candidature: The Candidate who is registered as a Foreign Student or OCI or PIO, as declared by the Government of India.
  • Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature: The children of citizens, who are displaced from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or the children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir, or the children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism; are eligible under this category.
