TISSNET 2024 Application Form

TISSNET application form 2024 will be released most likely in the second week of December 2023, by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai on its official website. Candidates meeting the TISSNET 2024 eligibility criteria will be able to fill in the application form. Interested applicants can apply online through the e-application process but applicants who are from a remote place without any internet facility can get a printed copy of the form from the institute. TISSNET 2024 registrations will continue till the last week of January 2024. TISSNET 2024 will be held in the last week ofFebruary 2024, in CBT mode. Candidates who have successfully registered can download their TISSNET 2024 hall ticket from the official website. Candidates can register online for the exam through the official website (appln.tiss.edu). The TISSNET 2024 offline application facility will only be available for candidates from remote areas such as Jharkhand, and Jammu & Kashmir.

The printout of the TISSNET application form 2024 had to be then sent via speed post with the application fee. Candidates needed to fill out their personal, academic, and other details in the application form for TISSNET 2024 and were also required to upload scanned images of some of the documents.

Any form which was submitted after the last date was not accepted. Candidates can fill TISSNET application form 2024 online by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates need to click on the official link for TISSNET registration 2024.

  • Enter details such as email id and other details that are asked in the form.

  • After entering all the requisite details, click on the register tab.

  • Upon submission of the details, a TISSNET registration 2024 link is sent to the registered email id.

  • Click on that verification link.

  • After that, the link opens in a new tab where the candidates have to enter their name and the password of their choice.

  • Now, click on the 'Save' tab.

Step 2: Filling the TISSNET 2024 Application Form

  • In this step, candidates have to log in with their credentials such as Login ID and Password.

  • Click on Apply Now.

  • After logging in successfully, candidates can move on to the application form.

  • In the application form, all basic personal details and academic details have to be entered.

  • After completing each step, it is important to click on the 'Save' tab.

Step 3: Uploading of Documents

  • After filling in the information, candidates have to upload their documents and scanned images of their recent passport-sized photograph in the prescribed format.
  • The file size for the photograph, signature, and other documents should not be more than 500 KB.

  • To upload the images, the attachment type has to be selected from the drop-down. For example, a photograph, signature, etc.

  • If the attachment has been uploaded successfully, a success message will be displayed.

  • After uploading the images, click on the 'Save' tab to move to the next step

  • Select the programs next.

  • For this, choose a location first and then the programmes which are offered from the selected locations in the dropdown and indicate the preference

  • All the selected programmes are shown in a table.

  • Remove programmes by clicking on the remove programme link.

Note: Candidates can apply for a maximum of 3 programmes across any of 2 TISS Campuses or other locations.

Step 4: Payment of Fees

  • After filling out the application form successfully, pay the application fee as per the suitable mode via online and offline.

    • In Online Mode: Payment by Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking.

    • In Offline Mode: Cash deposit in any of the designated branches of SBI using the prescribed challan

Step 5: Submission of TISSNET 2024 Application Form

  • Finally, click on the 'Confirmation and Preview' tab.

  • After completion of this step, a preview of the application form is available.

  • Upon successful registration, candidates receive a confirmation mail on their registered ID.

TISSNET Offline Application Process 2024

Candidates who are in remote areas and do not have an internet facility can get a printed copy of the TISSNET application form 2024 from the institute. They need to send a request for the same by speed post with the application fee to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088. 

The candidates who submit a hard copy of the TISSNET application form 2024 should also send the required documents along with the application form. The documents have to be attested by a School Headmaster or a Principal of College or a Gazetted Officer. Requests which are received without the above certificates will be rejected and the candidates will not be intimated about the same.

Note: In the case of TISSNET fee payment by cash deposit through an SBI branch, SBI will charge Rs.50 as the processing fee for each deposit. This cannot be adjusted against the TISSNET form fee 2024.

TISSNET 2024 Application Submission Instructions

Candidates should make a note of the following instructions regarding the TISSNET registration 2024: 

  • Candidates should go through the eligibility criteria carefully before filling up the TISSNET application form 2024.

  • They can apply for a maximum of 3 courses across any two of the TISS campuses and other centre locations. Candidates are advised to choose their courses after carefully reading the course description. Change of courses will not be allowed once the admission has been completed.

  • Candidates who are unemployed and whose parents' or guardian's annual income from all the sources for the Financial Year 2020-21 is less than Rs.2.5 Lakhs for SC/ST and Rs.1 lakh for OBC(NC) are required to pay Rs.250/- as concessional application fee for each course. But they will need to upload the necessary certificates.

  • Candidates will have to attach and upload all the relevant certificates in the prescribed format. The institute will also take steps to have the Caste/Tribe/Non-creamy layer/ Income certificates verified by the authorities after admission and those who are found to have submitted manipulated certificates at any stage of their study, will be asked to leave the course.

  • Candidates have to pay TISSNET 2024 application fee amount for every course they apply for.

  • Candidates can apply for multiple courses and pay for each of those courses separately in one online form. They should not fill out more than one TISSNET application form 2024. If a candidate is found to have filled more than one form, his/her application is likely to be cancelled

TISSNET Registration 2024: Important points to Remember

Candidates appearing for TISSNET 2024 should be aware that they can apply for three programmes at the most. They will have to fill out one single form for all three programmes and also pay together for all the programmes at the same time. If more than one form is found of the same candidate then his/her candidature will be cancelled. 

The TISSNET application form 2024 fee can be paid online or offline through Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking or through SBI bank Challan in case of the offline payment. Anything apart from the mentioned mode of payment would be cancelled or rejected. 

While applying for TISSNET 2024, the applicants will be given two options for the payment of the fee such as “Cash” or “Payment Gateway” for the payment to be made. If the candidate chooses “Cash” then he will have to download the Challan provided on the screen. The challan will have three copies attached. Candidates will have to deposit the amount of cash mentioned on the challan in the State Bank of India. The bank will return two copies one for the student and the other for the TISS with the bank’s seal, journal number, and signature on it. The rest of the two copies will have to be uploaded to the official site.
