Assam CEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Assam CEE 2019 eligibility criteria are a set of terms and conditions that candidates must fulfill in order to appear for the exam. These conditions could be related to age limit,  domicile and qualifying exam passed. Every candidate planning to take the exam must go through each criterion carefully before filling the Assam CEED application form 2019. The application details provided by the candidates should be completely true, as every detail is cross-checked during the Assam CEE 2019 counselling process.

Detailed Assam CEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Check Assam CEE 2019 eligibility criteria to know whether or not you're eligible to apply:


  • Candidate should be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.


  • Candidate should be between the age group of 17 to 21 years as on August 1, 2019.

  • For B.Sc passed candidates, the upper age limit is 22 years.

  • There is 3 years relaxation for candidates belonging to the reserved (SC/ST) category.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Candidates have to pass the last qualifying examination in ‘one sitting’ without any kind of grace marks in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

  • For every candidate, it is mandatory to score at least 50% marks in aggregate while 45% for SC and 40% for ST including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects together.

Number of Attempts

There is no such restriction to the number of attempts. The number of attempts is limited to the candidate's age of 21 years.

Other Important Eligibility Norms:

  • The candidate should have a good moral character.

  • The candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

Ex-tea garden labor community (Ex TGLC)

Son, and Daughter of Ex-Serviceman

Other Reserved Seats:



Child / Grandchild of any freedom fighter (including both paternal & maternal)

2 seats in AEC and 2 seats in JEC and 1 seat in JIST, Jorhat in a specific branch. (Out of these seats, one seat is reserved for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC.)

Physically Challenged

3% of the total intake capability of the college
