How to Apply for KEAM 2019

KEAM 2019 Application Form will be issued by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE). The application for KEAM 2019 has been released on the 3rd February 2019 and go on till the 28th of February 2019. The applicants are advised to check their KEAM 2019 eligibility criteria before applying. The exam is scheduled for April 22 (Physics & Chemistry) & April 23 (Mathematics), 2019 in offline mode in 352 centers including 14 districts in Kerala, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai.  

In order to fill the KEAM application form 2019, applicants will have to visit the official website of CEE and fill the application form online. Then they will have to upload the images and necessary details. Then they have to pay the application fee and submit the form. After submitting the form, the applicants will have to take the printout of the application form. They have to send the application form with the specified documents to Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE).

KEAM is a state level exam conducted by CEE. The exam is held annually to offer admission to interested candidates in B.Tech programmes at various government and private colleges in Kerala. The examination was initially organised for admission in programmes of Engineering, Architecture, and Medical in the colleges of Kerala. However, since 2016, KEAM Scores are used only for admission into engineering programmes. With NEET becoming the national level medical/dental entrance test, KEAM medical exam has been discontinued.

Steps to Fill KEAM 2019 Application Form

By following the below steps, candidates can fill the application form of KEAM 2019:

Step: 1 KEAM 2019 Registration:

  • This is the first and foremost step for filling the application form of KEAM 2019 online. Applicants will have to register themselves by entering the following details: Name, Email ID and Mobile number, Date of Birth, Password, and Security code.

  • After filling the requisite details, the applicants will have to click on to “Register” tab.

  • During this process, applicants have got a system generated Application Number. Applicants must enter their own password when demanded at the time of KEAM registration. Preferably a strong password is recommended. The requirements for a strong password are as follows: 

    • a minimum Length of character is 8, applicants have to use 1 alphabet(a-z or A-Z) , 1 number i.e 0-9 and 1 symbol i.e! @ # $ % ^ & *.

Step: 2 Uploading of Documents:

The next step is to upload scanned copies of the passport sized photograph (recent), signature and left-hand thumb impression. The photograph must be clicked on a white or light colored background.

Step: 3 Filling up of KEAM Application Form 2019:

  • After uploading the images, applicants will have to fill the required details in the application form of KEAM 2019 such as

    • Personal Details – the information regarding the personal details is to be filled. The details that are to be filled in consists of the name of the candidate, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, category, disability (if applicable), nationality, age, date of birth, health details (if applicable), etc.

    • Academic Details – The qualifying exam details, exam status of 10+2 examination and more have to be provided.

    • Choice of Programme – The applicants will have to select their choice of programme. An exam centre according to preference also has to be selected.

    • Reservation – To check whether the applicant has a communal reservation or not.

    • Income Details – Information regarding the family income, district and more has to be provided.

  • If the application is filled completely, the applicant can preview the details of the application before going to the Final Submission, by clicking the 'Save & Preview' tab. After making it sure that all the information given are correct and true, click the 'Final Submission' tab to submit the online application ultimately. 

Note: After the final submission of the application form, no modification of the application will be possible at any stage.

Step: 4 Payment of Fees:

To complete the application procedure of KEAM 2019, applicants will have to pay the KEAM 2019 application fee either online or offline.

  • For Online Payment: Applicants will have to make the payment through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.

  • For E-challan: Applicants will have to take a printout of the E-challan and make the payment in cash at any of the State Bank of India or Head and Sub Post Offices in Kerala.

Step: 5 KEAM Application Form 2019 Printout

  • After paying the application fee of KEAM 2019, applicants must not forget to take a print out of the KEAM application form 2019 for future use.

  • Applicants should get the Course Certificate and Nativity Certificate provided in the application

Step: 6 Send Printout of KEAM Application Form to CEE Kerala

The last step of the application procedure involves sending the print out of the KEAM application form 2019 to the below-mentioned address.

Along with the application form, applicants will have to enclose the following documents:

  • Course Certificate in Original or Self Attested copy of Mark list (for candidates who studies Sanskrit at 10+2)

  • Proof of Nativity

  • Original Community/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, if communal reservation is claimed

  • Proof of Date of Birth

  • Proof for Special Reservation, if claimed

  • Original Income Certificate, if the desire to be considered for fee concession/EC status

  • Any other documents, if required

KEAM 2019 Application Form Status

To check the KEAM 2019 application form status, the applicants will have to log into their individual accounts:

  • Registration: Online registration shows the applicant's registration.

  • Upload Images: Shows that photos of photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions are uploaded to the portal or not.

  • Fill Application: Indicates the application is filled up and finally submitted.

  • Pay Application Fee: Indicates whether CEE's office has received confirmation of payment.

  • Print Application: Indicates whether the printout of the application has been taken by the candidate.

  • Received by CEE: This status indicates that the CEE office has received an application for investigation/scrutiny. If the status is green, then this means that the application has been taken for investigation/scrutiny.

If there is a green color against the status, then it indicates the completion of that phase. On the other hand, a red light will indicate that the steps are yet to be completed. Candidates whose application form will be defective, they will not be able to generate Admit Card.

KEAM 2019 Application Form Correction

Applicants successfully submitting the Application Form of KEAM 2019, will be allowed to check their forms and make allowed changes in the form.This is the last chance given to exam aspirants to make changes in their filled KEAM application form.KEAM application window will be made available by CEE on the official website. Applicants will have to register on the same and make the payment of prescribed application fee. There are only a few fields in which an applicant can make edits or corrections such as Mobile Number, Email address, Scanned images of photograph, signature, and thumb impression, Date of Birth, Aadhaar number. No changes can be made in the fields of exam centres and programmes. Applicants are also advised to fill the application form carefully and accurately. 

Steps to correct the application form of KEAM 2019 mentioned below :

  • Visit the official website of KEAM i.e http://www.cee-kerala.org/index.php/keam/keam2019/keam2019-examination-details

  • Provide your Login Credentials such as KEAM 2019 Registration No. or Enrolment ID and Password.

  • Click on ‘Submit’ Tab

  • After that, a new screen appears and there you will see a link relating to KEAM 2019 Application Form Correction’.

  • Click on the link and make the required corrections and then save the details.

FAQs on KEAM Application Form 2019

1. Is it compulsory to do all the steps mentioned for applying online in a single sitting?

No need to complete all the procedures in a single step. You can do each step in different time. But log out from the portal each time should be ensured.

2. During the time of filling up of application, it shows ‘Session Time Out’ and the filled information has been lost. How to avoid this?

The specified period of time when the user doesn't work with the application is called session time out. The applicant has to login again to proceed further. To avoid this session time out, candidates are requested to use ‘Save’ button frequently, available in the application page which will facilitate to save the entered data so far.

3. What are the common causes of rejecting the application?

If duly filled and signed Course Certificate and Nativity Certificate in the prescribed format are not attached along with the print out of the application. or If the printout of application and supporting document reaches after the last date specified.

4. I forgot to note down my Application number during the Candidate registration process. How can I get the application number?

There is no provision for retrieving the application number. If you do not complete the Payment section of the online application, a new registration may be done and you will get a new application number.
