MH SET 2026 Exam - Notification, Dates, Application, Pattern, Syllabus, Cut off

MH SET 2026 Exam is expected to be conducted in April 2026. The official notification will be released in January 2026, and the application form will be made available in February.  On behalf of the States of Maharashtra & Goa, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) conducts the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) exam to select candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities/colleges of Maharashtra and Goa. The MH SET exam is conducted in 32 subjects under the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Law, Mental, Moral, and Social Sciences; Education, and Physical Education. There are two papers in the MH SET exam—Paper 1, which evaluates teaching and research aptitude, and Paper 2, which is subject-specific. To become eligible to appear for the MH SET, you must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized university.

Follow the steps given below to make an application for the 40th MH SET exam:

1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on the tab that says 'Login' available on the website.
3. Click on the 'New Registration' tab.
4. Fill out the details required to register on the official website.
5. Next, log in to the registered MH SET account. 
6. Click on the 40th MH SET link 
7. Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details. 
8. Finally, pay the application fee and print the application form and save it for future reference.

Follow the steps mentioned below to download the admit card:

1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on the link that says 'MH SET 2026 Admit Card'. 
3. Enter your application number, date of birth, or name.
4. Next, click on the 'Submit' button 
5. Finally, the admit card will be displayed on the screen.
   

Savitribai Phule Pune University will release the MH SET 2026 answer key on the official website. You can download the answer key for both papers as available online. After all objections were addressed, a final answer key became available on the official website. You can follow the simple procedure given below to download the answer key easily: 

• Step 1: You will first need to visit the official website of the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET), as presented by Savitribai Phule Pune University, at setexam.unipune.ac.in. 
• Step 2: The home page will open on your screen, where you have to click on the option called “The Final Answer Key Concerning SET Exam.”
• Step 3: A new page will open displaying the following options:

1. Paper I Booklet - A, Paper I Booklet - B, Paper I Booklet - C, Paper I Booklet - D

2. Paper - II All Subjects (Booklets - A, B, C, D)

3. Paper - II Mathematical Sciences (Booklet - A)

4. Paper - II Mathematical Sciences (Booklet - B)

5. Paper - II Mathematical Sciences (Booklet - C)

6. Paper - II Mathematical Sciences (Booklet - D)

• Step 4: Click on the option of your choice to download the final answer key.

The MH SET 2026 Result will also be released by the Savitribai Phule Pune University on the official website. You can easily download the result by using your seat number and name. If you are still unable to download the result, then you can follow the simple procedure given below:

• Step 1: You will first need to visit the official website of the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET), as presented by Savitribai Phule Pune University, at setexam.unipune.ac.in. 
• Step 2: The home page will open on your screen, where you have to click on the option called “Result of M-SET”
• Step 3: Select the exam and then enter your seat number and name. Finally, the result will open on your screen.
