About NEET PG Choice Filling 2025

The NEET PG Choice Filling 2025 is a crucial part of the counselling process that allows students to shortlist their desired list of medical colleges for admission. It is conducted right after the counselling registration process concludes, and only those who have successfully paid for their counselling registration fees are allowed to partake in the choice-filling process. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET PG Choice Filling 2025 in online mode. 

During the NEET PG 2025 Choice Filling process, students will have to submit their choices of medical colleges, under 50% AIQ seats, in order of preference only. Based on the options, the NEET PG 2025 Seat Allotment will be conducted for the available seats. The choice-filling process will be held in two stages: Choice-Filling and Choice-Locking. In the latter, students are required to confirm their options by “locking” or submitting them to complete the process.

Who is Eligible for NEET PG Choice Filling 2025?

To be eligible for the NEET PG 2025 Choice-Filling process, all interested students must satisfy the following criteria:

  • All students must have completed their MBBS degree and/or have a provisional pass certificate recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
  • For participating in the choice-filling process, a valid MBBS registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council is mandatory.
  • All students should have completed their mandatory 1-year internship period post their MBBS graduation.
  • Only those who have successfully completed the counselling registration process and submitted the registration fee will be eligible to participate in the NEET PG Choice Filling 2025.

  1. Firstly, visit the official website of MCC and click on the “NEET PG 2025 Counselling” direct link to complete the registration process and pay the requisite counselling fee.
  2. Next, click on the ‘Next’ button to be redirected to the NEET PG 2025 Choice Filling page. Once the page is displayed on the screen, read the instructions carefully.
  3. Now, select your desired course from the dropdown menus for courses. You may select multiple options in order of preference. 
  4. Then, select your desired list of colleges from the available options based on the seat matrix, and add them in order of preference.
  5. In case you wish to make any changes to the order, drag the desired option and adjust the sequence accordingly.
  6. Then, go to the “Lock Choice” option and click on the same to submit your choices. 
  7. It is important to note that if any students fail to lock their choices manually, the system will auto-lock their choices.
  8. The seat allotment process will be conducted based on the choices entered in order of preference.

What's the Difference Between NEET PG Choice Locking & Choice Filling?

NEET PG Choice Locking and Choice Filling serve two different functions in the counselling process. Refer to the table below to understand the difference between the two processes in detail:

What Happens After NEET PG Choice Filling?

Once the NEET PG Choice Filling and Choice Locking are completed, the MCC will conduct the seat allotment process based on the choices entered by the students. Apart from the preferences, the list of colleges will be assigned to students based on the seat matrix, reservation criteria, admission cutoff, and merit list. The seat allotment result will be released for each round of counselling separately, in online mode and PDF format. Based on the results, students can either accept or reject their seats. The final stage of counselling will be conducted through a physical document verification process at the reporting college.
