How to Apply For NEET UG 2019

The application process for NEET UG started from 1st November 2018 and candidates will be able to apply for the same until 7th December 2018. The last date of application has recently been extended. Earlier, the last date of application was 30th November 2018. Those who are interested must also check the Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2019 before they start with the application process. The application process of NEET UG 2019 has been initiated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the candidates interested in taking admission in medical and dental courses offered by various private and government medical colleges in India.

NEET UG is a national-level entrance exam, which is conducted in various parts of India in offline (pen-paper based) mode. NEET 2019 will be conducted on 5th May 2019. Candidates aiming for NEET UG 2019 have to follow the online application process to complete the NEET application form. Candidates must read the detailed procedure involved in the registration process first and then begin with the steps. This will help candidates in avoiding any kind of mistakes while filling up the details and switching from one step to the other.

Note: For successful completion of NEET registration process, applicants must submit the NEET 2019 application form before the last date along with the NEET application fee. The applicants will not be able to submit the forms after the closure of the registration date.

Prerequisites For NEET UG 2019 Application Process

Candidates need to assemble a few documents and essentials before they start with the application process for NEET UG 2019. These relevant essentials must be ready as it will be required while filling up the form and registering for the examination. In order to ensure an eased flow of the steps of the registration procedure, candidates will have to take help of the essentials being asked. Mentioned-below is a list of these essentials or documents for the applicants of NEET UG 2019.

  • A suitable and speedy net browser.

  • An Identity Proof of the candidate (must have a photograph on it).

  • Important details of Class 10 and 12

  • A valid and registered Mobile Number

  • Scanned copies of candidates’ signature and photograph

  • Email Address that has been in use.

  • Bank details for making online payment of the application fee.

Steps to Fill NEET 2019 Application Form

By following the steps given below, NEET aspirants can fill the NEET 2019 application form:

The Registration

  • Candidates first need to register themselves on the official website of NTA, in order to acquire the Application Form.

  • To register, candidates will have to fill in credentials asked in the registration form.

  • These credentials include the name of the candidate, parental details, gender, nationality, date of birth, category, disability details (if applicable), valid mobile number, email address, etc.

  • Once the details are filled candidates must cross-check the information and then click on the submit button.

  • It is to know that candidates will also be asked to create a password and verify it once added.

  • A verification process is also to be followed by the candidates in order to verify their email address and mobile number.

  • Once all the important steps have been catered well, candidates will get a provisional application number will be generated which will serve as the Login ID for the candidates.

  • After all the process of registration is done, candidates can log in with the given ID and the generated password, and get the Application Form of NEET UG 2019.

Fill the NEET Application Form

  • Applicants will have to go to the home page and log in with the Registered ID and Password.

  • After successful login in, candidates will be able to get the link for the Application Form.

  • Click on the link to open a new page with the Application Form.

  • Candidates must fill in the asked details in steps defined by the exam conducting authority.

  • First, the information regarding the personal details is to be filled. The details that are to be filled in consists of the name of the candidate, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, category, disability (if applicable), nationality, age, date of birth, health details (if applicable), etc.

  • The second step will be to fill the details related to place of birth, city and state.

  • Choosing the medium to give the examination and selecting the centre for examination is to be done in the next step.

  • Next step in the Application Form will be to fill in the Educational details mainly comprising of the details of Class 10th and 12th, like the name of the school and board of examination, passing year, place of the institution last attended, etc.

  • To fill the residential details including the permanent address and present address is the next step.

  • After inscribing of the asked details, candidates must click on the submit button. Remember to check the details before clicking on the submit button as changes in only a few categories will be allowed during the form correction period.

  • These sections include nationality of the candidate, category, gender, language of answering the paper, the centre of examination and state of eligibility.

Uploading Photograph and Signature

Applicants must upload the recently scanned image of the:

  • Photograph (against a light background)

  • Signature (on a plain white sheet)

Candidates must submit the scanned copy of their photograph and signature. It is important for candidates to follow the size and format of the scanned copies as prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. The details of the size and format are given below in the form of a table.

Fee Payment

  • Applicants can choose to make payment for NEET application fee either in online or offline mode.

  • If an applicant chooses to pay the fee online, then he/she must pay via Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking.

  • However, if an applicant chooses to pay the fee offline, then the payment can be made via E-Challan/Bank Challan.

Confirmation Page Print

  • After filling all the details in the NEET application form, a confirmation page will be displayed on your screen.

  • The same will be sent to the registered email address and mobile number of the candidates.

  • Candidates must take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future use and reference.

NEET Application Fee 2019

  • In order to complete the application process of NEET, all applicants have to pay the application fee.

  • Applicants can pay the NEET application fee online using a Debit or a Credit card or through Net Banking.

  • Applicants can also pay the fee offline via E-challan (Bank Challan). The E-Challan is to be downloaded and submitted to nearest bank with the requisite amount.

Note: Candidates must keep a few documents safe until the admission procedure is over. These documents include - Confirmation Page of NEET 2019, at least 6-8 photocopies of the Photograph uploaded, Application Fee Payment Proof and self-Declaration Certificate for J&K applicants.

Application Form Correction of NEET UG 2019

Applicants successfully submitting the Application Form of NEET UG 2019, will be allowed to check their forms and make allowed changes in the form. This form correction window will open from 14th January and will close on 31st January 2019. The entire process of form correction will be through online medium. No other medium of form correction will be open from the exam conducting authorities. Candidates will be allowed to make only a few changes including the nationality of the candidate, language of answering the paper, gender, centre of examination, category and state of eligibility. No other information once submitted can be edited during the form correction period of NEET UG 2019. Candidates who do not wish to make any changes can go through their form during this period and check for the information they have submitted. Once the window period ends, by no means candidates will be permitted to make changes in the Application Form of NEET UG 2019.

FAQs

1. Will the NEET application form be available in offline mode?

Candidates can fill the NEET application form only in online mode.

2. I have made an error in my application form. Can I make changes in the NEET application form after submission?

While filling the application form, candidates must ensure that all the details entered in the application form of NEET are correct. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will provide a window to edit some details once the application form has been submitted.

3. Do I have to pay any fee while filling the NEET application form?

It is mandatory for the candidates to make the payment of NEET application fee either in online or offline mode. For General/OBC candidates, the application fee is INR 1400, while for SC/ST/PH candidates, the application fee is INR 750.
