NEET UG Application Form 2020

NEET UG application form 2020 was released on December 02, 2019, and the candidates were able to apply for the same until January 06, 2020. The official notification for the NEET UG 2020 was released on December 01, 2019. 

NTA reopened the application correction window once again and the candidates could make changes in their NEET application form till 15th July 2020 on the demand of the students as the exam has been postponed.The correction window is closed.

Almost 13 lakh students are expected to apply for NEET-UG 2020. Those who are interested must also check the Eligibility Criteria for NEET-UG 2020 before they start with the application process. The application process of NEET-UG 2020 is initiated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the candidates interested in taking admission in Medical (MBBS) and Dental (BDS) courses offered by various private and government medical colleges in India.

NEET UG is a national-level entrance exam, which is conducted in various parts of India in offline (pen-paper based) mode. Candidates aiming for NEET-UG 2020 have to follow the steps mentioned below to submit the NEET UG 2020 online application form. Candidates must read the detailed procedure involved in the registration process first and then begin with the steps. This will help candidates in avoiding any kind of mistakes while filling up the details and switching from one step to the other.

Note: For successful completion of NEET registration process, applicants must submit the NEET 2020 application form before the last date along with the NEET application fee. The applicants will not be able to submit the forms after the closure of the registration date.

In order to complete the application process of NEET, all applicants have to pay the application fee.

  • Applicants can pay the NEET application fee online using a Debit or a Credit card or Net Banking or Paytm/ UPI/ Google Pay

  • Category-wise application fees for NEET is listed in the table given below.

Note: Candidates must keep a few documents safe until the admission procedure is over. These documents include - Confirmation Page of NEET 2020, at least 6-8 photocopies of the Photograph uploaded, Application Fee Payment Proof and self-Declaration Certificate for J&K applicants.

Prerequisites for NEET UG 2020 Application Form Submission

  • A suitable and speedy net browser.
  • An Identity Proof of the candidate (must have a photograph on it).
  • Important details of Class 10 and 12
  • A valid and registered Mobile Number
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ signature and photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb), Post Card size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb - 300 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb), Left hand thumb impression (file size: 10 kb-50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format
  • Email Address that has been in use.
  • Bank details for making online payment of the application fee.

Steps to Fill NEET 2020 Application Form

By following the steps given below, NEET aspirants can fill the NEET 2020 application form:

NEET UG Registration

  • Candidates first need to register themselves through the direct link mentioned above, in order to acquire the Application Form.

  • To register, candidates will have to fill in credentials asked in the registration form.

  • These credentials include the name of the candidate, parental details, gender, nationality, date of birth, category, disability details (if applicable), valid mobile number, email address, etc.

  • Once the details are filled candidates must cross-check the information and then click on the submit button.

  • It is to know that candidates will also be asked to create a password and verify it once added.

  • A verification process is also to be followed by the candidates in order to verify their email address and mobile number.

  • Once all the important steps have been catered well, candidates will get a provisional application number will be generated which will serve as the Login ID for the candidates.

  • After all the process of registration is done, candidates can log in with the given ID and the generated password, and get the Application Form of NEET UG 2020.

NEET UG Form Filling

  • Applicants will have to go to the home page and log in with the Registered ID and Password.

  • After successful login in, candidates will be able to get the link for the Application Form.

  • Click on the link to open a new page with the Application Form.

  • Candidates must fill in the asked details in steps defined by the exam conducting authority.

  • First, the information regarding the personal details is to be filled. The details that are to be filled in consists of the name of the candidate, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, category, disability (if applicable), nationality, age, date of birth, health details (if applicable), etc.

  • The second step will be to fill the details related to place of birth, city and state.

  • Choosing the medium to give the examination and selecting the centre for examination is to be done in the next step.

  • Next step in the Application Form will be to fill in the Educational details mainly comprising of the details of Class 10th and 12th, like the name of the school and board of examination, passing year, place of the institution last attended, etc.

  • To fill the residential details including the permanent address and present address is the next step.

  • After inscribing of the asked details, candidates must click on the submit button. Remember to check the details before clicking on the submit button as changes in only a few categories will be allowed during the form correction period.

  • These sections include nationality of the candidate, category, gender, language of answering the paper, the centre of examination and state of eligibility.

Uploading Photograph and Signature in NEET UG Application Form

Applicants must upload the recently scanned image of the:

  • Photograph (against a light background)

  • Signature (on a plain white sheet)

Candidates must submit the scanned copy of their photograph and signature. It is important for candidates to follow the size and format of the scanned copies as prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. The details of the size and format are given below in the form of a table.

NEET UG Application Fee Payment

  • Applicants can choose to make payment for NEET application fee either in online or offline mode.

  • If an applicant chooses to pay the fee online, then he/she must pay via Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking/ Paytm/ UPI/ Google Pay.

NEET UG Application Confirmation Page Print

  • After filling all the details in the NEET application form, a confirmation page will be displayed on your screen.

  • The same will be sent to the registered email address and mobile number of the candidates.

  • Candidates must take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future use and reference.

Application Form Correction of NEET UG 2020

NEET application form correction 2020 has been extended till 31st May 2020. Applicants successfully submitting the Application Form of NEET-UG 2020, will be allowed to check their forms and make allowed changes in the form.  The entire process of form correction will be through online medium. No other medium of form correction will be open from the exam conducting authorities.

Candidates will be allowed to make only a few changes including the nationality of the candidate, language of answering the paper, gender, centre of examination, category and state of eligibility. No other information once submitted can be edited during the form correction period of NEET UG 2020. Candidates who do not wish to make any changes can go through their form during this period and check for the information they have submitted. Once the window period ends, by no means candidates will be permitted to make changes in the Application Form of NEET UG 2020. 

Few Things to Know About NEET UG 2020

Here are 5 important things that the candidates must be aware of about the NEE UG 2020 Application Form:

  • NEET UG 2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on 03rd May 2020 in offline mode
  • The NEET-UG 2020 application forms will go live on the 02nd of December 2019 and the last date to apply for NEET-UG 2020 will be 31st December 2019
  • The 2020 NEET UG entrance exam will be conducted in 8 regional languages in addition to Hindi, Urdu and English languages. The candidates can opt to appear in NEET-UG 2020 in the regional language of the state where the centre of the examination will be located. For ex: A candidate can only choose the Bengali language if his/her examination centre is in West Bengal
  • Those who dream of studying medicine abroad, it is mandatory for them to appear in the NEET-UG 2020 entrance test
  • The application forms to appear in NEET-UG 2020 of those applicants will be rejected who have completed their 10+2 qualifying exam from an Open School
