TS ECET 2020 Eligibility

TS ECET 2020 dates are already out, and the entrance exam for B.Tech Lateral Entry admission is scheduled on May 02, 2020. Candidates aspiring to appear for TS ECET should know about the eligible papers for each branch of engineering so that he/ she will be eligible to choose the relevant paper for the entrance exam. For some branches, the candidates are allowed to take the exam in two papers. In order to avoid the confusion pertaining to the branch wise eligibility and list of papers for the same here.

General Eligibility Criteria for TS ECET 2020

There is a general eligibility criterion for TS ECET 2020 which must be fulfilled by the candidates if they wish to apply for the entrance exam:

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.

  • Candidates willing to appear in the entrance exam should hold the domicile certificate of the State of Telangana.

  • They should hold a diploma degree in pharmacy/ technology/ engineering from any of the recognized university in the state of Telangana.

  • Candidates should fulfil local /non-local requirements prescribed by the Telangana Pradesh Educational Institutions.

Eligible Branches for Various TS ECET Papers 2020

Here are the eligibility criteria for various TS ECET papers, and the candidates are advised to go through the same carefully.

Eligible Diploma Courses

Bio-Technology

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Bio-Technology are eligible.

Chemical Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Chemical Sugar Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Chemical-Oil Technology/ Chemical-Plastics & Polymers/ Chemical-Petrochemical/ Textile/ Leather/ Ceramic are eligible

Civil Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Civil Construction Technology and Civil Engineering are eligible.

Computer Science and Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Information Technology/ Electronics with Computer/ Computer are eligible.

Electronics and Communications Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering/ Electronics-Biomedical/ TV and Sound/ Industrial Electronics/ Communication Engineering/ Embedded Systems/ Applied Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics and Telematics are eligible.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering are eligible.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics-Industrial Electronics/ Electronics and Instrumentation are eligible.

Mechanical Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Printing Technology/ Packaging Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Sandwich Mechanical Engineering/ Jewellery Design and Manufacturing/ Industrial Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Footwear Technology/ Automobile Engineering are eligible.

Metallurgical Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering are eligible.

Mining Engineering

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Industrial Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Mining Engineering are eligible.

Pharmacy

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible

B.Sc Mathematics

Candidates who have passed B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects are eligible.
