UPESMET 2025 Counselling

After the UPESMET 2025 Counselling is conducted, the final result for MBA admission will be announced. The counselling process for Phases 3, 4, and 5 will be conducted in July, August, and September 2025, respectively. One session of the Phase 6 exam was conducted on July 12, 2025, and the rest of the sessions will be conducted every Saturday. The UPES MET 2025 Phase 5 exam was conducted on June 25 & 26, 2025. The counselling for UPES MET is conducted in multiple phases to offer admission to the MBA program. Aspirants who qualify for the UPESMET exam are called to participate in the counselling round which comprises Group discussion, Verification of documents, and a Personal interview. Those who opt for the non-examination pathway directly will be called directly for the counselling round based on their  CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT scores.

UPESMET 2025 Counselling Dates

Examination Pathway for UPES MET 2025 Counselling Process

• The candidates who fail to fulfil the required percentile in Common Admission Test (CAT)/ Management Aptitude Test (MAT)/ Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)/Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)/ NMAT by GMAC/ Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) can apply via this pathway. 

• The candidates are required to have a minimum score of 50% in Class 10th, 12th and in Graduation.

• If candidates are applying via the Examination pathway, they will be required to take the management entrance test by UPES.

• Up to 30% seats will be filled through the National Level Tests category (CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT by GMAC). In case, candidates for such seats are not available, UPES has the right to fill these seats through UPES MET.

Non-Examination Pathway for UPES MET 2025 Counselling Process

The candidates who have appeared for the following national level examinations – CAT/ XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT and have the required percentile can directly attend the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The required percentiles for CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT by GMAC are as follows:

For MBA Oil & Gas / Power Management / Energy Trading / Logistics & Supply Chain Management / International Business:

• Candidates having a minimum MAT score of 80 percentile and minimum CAT/XAT score of 75 percentile will be exempted from the UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for GD & PI if qualified. Valid CAT/ CMAT / GMAT/NMAT by GMAC/XAT scores will also be accepted.

For MBA Port & Shipping Management / Aviation Management / Urban Infrastructure & Smart Cities / Business Analytics/ MBA with Specialization in HR / Operations / Marketing / Finance):

•  Candidates having a minimum MAT/CMAT score of 75 percentile and minimum CAT/XAT score of 70 percentile will be exempted from UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for GD & PI if qualified.

Important Note: NMAT by GMAC Score - The minimum required score will be updated after the declaration of NMAT by GMAC result.

UPESMET 2025 GD/PI Slot Booking Process

• Visit the official website of UPESMET 2025 i.e, events.upes.ac.in
• Enter the login details such as Application Number and Date of Birth.
• Click on the 'Search' tab.
• The screen will display the slots for GD/PI.
• Now candidates can book the slot at their convenience.

UPESMET 2025 Counselling Process

• Registration - Candidates to appear for counselling need to first register on the official website and enter the name, course, date of birth, city, email ID, and application number to create a registration ID.
• Group Discussion – Those who qualify have to appear for the Group Discussion (GD). They need to participate in a group of 10 to 15 candidates and have to share their opinions and views on a particular topic with other participants.
• Document Verification – After the GD is conducted, document verification will be done which was submitted at the time of registration.
• Personal Interview – After the verification of documents, Aspirants are called for the PI round to assess their personality, knowledge about the course, logical and reasoning skills, etc.
• Final Selection: The final selection of the aspirants depends on the overall performance of the candidate in the UPESMET, GD-PI round, Work experience, and academic history.

• Class 12 mark sheet (original and photocopy)

• A valid Photo-Identity proof

• Acknowledgment fee receipt
• Work experience certificate (if applicable)
