Additionally, if you manage to get a qualifying cutoff percentile score for CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, & NMAT, you would not have to take UPES MET and would be able to proceed to GD/PI rounds. • If you perform well in UPESMET, you will be invited to participate in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) stages.
• Alternatively, if you already have a valid score from recognised national exams, you may skip UPESMET altogether and directly qualify for the GD/PI rounds.

The minimum score requirements for accepted exams are:

• MAT/CMAT 2025: 70th percentile or above
• CAT 2024/XAT 2025: At least 50th percentile
• GMAT: Score of 400 or more
• NMAT 2024/2025: 120 or higher

Examination Pathway for UPES MET 2025 Selection Process

Candidates who do not meet the minimum percentile in CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or NMAT exams can still apply through an alternative route. To be eligible, applicants must have scored at least 50% in their 10th, 12th, and graduation exams. Those applying through this alternative method will need to clear the UPES management entrance test. Around 30% of the seats are reserved for candidates qualifying through national-level tests like CAT, MAT, XAT, or NMAT. If these seats remain vacant, UPES reserves the right to fill them using the UPES MET exam instead.

Non-Examination Pathway for UPES MET 2025 Selection Process

The candidates who have appeared for the following national level examinations – CAT/ XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT and have the required percentile can directly attend the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The required percentiles for CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT by GMAC are as follows:

For MBA Oil & Gas / Power Management / Energy Trading / Logistics & Supply Chain Management / International Business:

• Candidates having a minimum MAT score of 80 percentile and a minimum CAT/XAT score of 75 percentile will be exempted from the UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for GD & PI if qualified. Valid CAT/ CMAT / GMAT/NMAT by GMAC/XAT scores will also be accepted.

For MBA Port & Shipping Management / Aviation Management / Urban Infrastructure & Smart Cities / Business Analytics/ MBA with Specialisation in HR / Operations / Marketing / Finance):

•  Candidates having a minimum MAT/CMAT score of 75 percentile and a minimum CAT/XAT score of 70 percentile will be exempted from UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for GD & PI if qualified.

Important Note: NMAT by GMAC Score - The minimum required score will be updated after the declaration of the NMAT by GMAC results.
