How to Apply for CMSE 2019

The application process for CMSE 2019 has begun on the 10th of April 2019 and the aspirants must visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in order to fill up the online application form for the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) 2019 entrance examination. The interested students can access the official UPSC website with the help of the link https://upsconline.nic.in and fill the online CMSE 2019 application form. The detailed instructions regarding how to fill the online application form for CMSE 2019 exam is also available on the official website. 

It must be noted by the CMSE 2019 aspirants that they must submit only a single application form to avoid any kind of unnecessary hassle. In certain cases, if a candidate has submitted multiple online application forms, then the CMSE 2019 application form with the higher RID (Registration ID) will be considered for the subsequent steps provided the higher RID application form contains all the requisite details. 

While the aspirants will be given until the 6th of May 2019 to fill up the online application forms. However, for those who do not want to appear in the CMSE 2019 entrance examination, they can withdraw their CMSE 2019 online application form between the dates of 13 and 20 May 2019.

Step by Step Process to Fill CMSE 2019 Online Application Form 

The detailed step to step process regarding how the aspirants can fill up the online application for CMSE 2019 has been explained in detail. The candidates must make sure that they follow these CMSE 2019 online application process steps to ensure that they successfully register themselves for the exam without any hiccups: 

Step 1: The aspirants have to, first of all, click on the link https://www.upsconline.nic.in for the official UPSC website where they will see a link “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC”. The link contains the online application forms for all the major entrance examinations conducted by UPSC. The applicants must make sure that they go through all the instructions carefully before filling the online application form for CMSE 2019. There are two stages of the CMSE 2019 application process and the applicants must complete both of them.

Step 2: This is the Part I of the online application process where the applicants have to click on the “Part I Registration”. Once they click on the link, the applicants will be redirected to a new page which will contain the detailed instructions for filling up the online application form. Once read, the applicants have to scroll to the extreme bottom of this page and click on the “Yes” link. 

Step 3: In this step, the applicant will be required to enter all their personal information like name, date of birth, educational qualification etc and click on the “Continue” button after cross-checking all the information they have entered. 

Step 4: After entering all their personal details and choice filling (if applicable), the applicant will be taken to a new page which will display all the information entered by them. They will be given an option to make amends to the online application form in case they find out they have mistakenly entered some wrong information. After the final submission, the details entered by the applicants will be recorded and the same cannot be altered during any stage of the examination process.

Step 5: In this step, the system will generate a unique Registration ID along with the rest of the details provided by the applicants. This will mean that the applicants have successfully completed Part I of the online application or registration process. The work till now, however, is half done as they have to proceed to Part II of the online application process. The applicants must take a print out of Part I of the online application form for their own convenience.

Step 6: The candidates have to click on the Part II registration link after the completion of part I for registration. The candidates will be taken to a new page where they will be required to input their Registration ID and Date of Birth to begin the Part II registration process. Thereafter, the candidates have to deposit the online application fee via any of the available methods. 

Step 7:  One of the most important steps in Part II of the online application process is the payment of fees. The applicants will have three options regarding the payment of the application fee. 

  • By Cash: The candidates can pay the fee through the Pay-in-Slip generated during the online application process

  • Internet Banking: The candidates can pay the fee through the State Bank of India Internet Banking Facilities 

  • Online: The candidates can use credit card/debit card of any bank for the payment of a fee  

Step 8:  After the payment of the fees, the candidates will be taken to a new page where they will be required to upload their signature specimen and recent photograph. The images uploaded by the candidates should be only in .jpeg format and the size for the same should be between 20 KB and 300 KB. 

Step 9: The candidates will land on a fresh page displaying the preview after uploading the signature specimen and recent photograph. The candidates need to check that the images uploaded by them are clearly visible or not in the preview page. Once satisfied with the quality of the images uploaded by them, the candidates have to click on the “Confirm” button. It is to be noted that the system will not record the entries made by the candidates unless they confirm their submission. 

Step 10: Once done with the uploading of the images, the candidates will see a confirmation regarding the completion of the online application forms. The candidates will also see a link through which they can view their complete application. The candidates will also see a “Print Application” tab which they need to click for taking out a copy of the same for future reference. 

NOTE:

The application of the candidates will stand a chance of getting rejected on the following grounds:

  • Unaccepted quality of the uploaded photograph
  • Unaccepted quality of the uploaded signature specimen
  • Uploading signature specimen in place of photograph and vice versa
  • Only Part I of the online application process is completed
  • Non-submission of application fee against the higher Registration ID (in case of multiple registrations)
  • Failure to provide sufficient proof to the Commission
  • Fictitious payments 
  1. After completing Part I of the Online registration process, the candidates have to take a printout of the same 
  2. Candidates who wish to submit the application fee in cash, they must take a printout of the Pay-In-Slip available with the online application form to be submitted at any branch of State Bank of India
  3. Candidates who are exempted from paying the online application fee may straight away proceed to the second part of the registration process
  4. The scanned signature of the candidates must be on a white blank paper with Black Ink
  5. It is not mandatory for online applicants to send the online application hard copy or any other documents to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
  6. The candidates cannot be assured of their candidature being cleared by the Commission even if their admission certificate has been issued

Important Instructions Regarding the CMSE 2019 Online Application Process

Here are some important pointers regarding the CMSE 2019 online application procedure that the candidates have to be aware of while filling up the online application form for CMSE 2019 entrance examination:

  • The candidates have to complete both Part I and Part II of the online registration or application process otherwise their candidature will be cancelled

  • The online application fee for CMSE 2019 is INR 200/-, except for those candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories. 

  • Female candidates will also be exempted from the online application fee

  • The candidates must possess a scanned copy of their recent photograph and signature specimen which should not exceed 300 KB and must not be less than 20 KB

  • The candidates must also have one Photo ID (Voter Card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence etc) and the candidates have to provide the details mentioned in the Photo ID during filling up the online application form

  • The applicants must make sure that they fill up a single online application form

  • In the case of multiple application forms, applicants must ensure that the online application form with a higher RID is complete

  • The applicants must provide their valid email ID for smooth flow of communication from the Commission

  • The applicants must check their mail inbox on a regular basis so that they do not miss any important information conveyed by the Commission

  • The applicants must fill the online application form well before the last date to avoid any unnecessary hassle

 Withdrawal of CMSE 2019 Online Application

A provision of withdrawing the CMSE 2019 online application has been introduced by the Commission. Those candidates will be allowed to withdraw their online application for CMSE 2019 entrance examination who do not want to appear in the CMSE 2019 entrance exam. Here are some important points regarding the withdrawal process of the CMSE 2019 online application:

  • The candidates must read all the terms and conditions carefully before filling up the withdrawal application request

  • The withdrawal facility will only be available for those candidates who have completed the online application process (Both Part I and Part II)

  • Candidates dropping their request for withdrawing their online application will be sent an OTP by the Commission on their registered mobile number or email ID

  • In case of multiple registrations/applications, the application form with a higher RID will be considered by the Commission for the withdrawal process

  • The candidates must take a print out of the authenticated receipt after their request for application withdrawal gets a nod from the Commission

  • Once withdrawn, the candidates cannot revive the online application in future under any circumstance

  • After the withdrawal is over, the candidates will receive a notification regarding the same on their registered mobile number or the email address
