VITEEE Counselling 2026

The VITEEE Counselling 2026 process will be conducted in multiple phases on the official website after the release of the results for the VITEEE exam 2026. The counselling process is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (Main Campus). The VITEEE counselling process 2026 is based on the ranks secured by candidates in the exam and preferences for courses and colleges while filling out the counselling form. To participate in the counselling process, the qualifying candidates will have to pay INR 5,900 asa  counselling fee (including GST).
As per the information available, candidates securing ranks up to 1,00,000 will be eligible for counselling at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Bhopal. However, those with rankings beyond 1,00,000 will only be eligible for counselling at VIT Andhra Pradesh and VIT Bhopal. VITEEE 2026 Counselling Dates

The VIT authorities have not yet announced the dates for VITEEE 2026 Counselling. The counselling dates will be announced after the declaration of the VITEEE Result 2026. Furthermore, candidates must note that the counselling is conducted in five phases for students securing ranks between 1 and 1,00,000. How to Apply for VITEEE 2026 Counselling Process

The step-wise VITEEE counselling procedure has been provided below for eligible candidates -

• The registration for VITEEE 2026 Counselling will take place in online mode

• Candidates will have to log in to the portal with their credentials, such as application number and password/date of birth

• The candidates will first need to pay the requisite registration fee

• Only those who submit the registration fee will be able to exercise the VITEEE 2026 Choice Filling

VITEEE 2026 Detailed Counselling Procedure

The following instructions regarding the VITEEE 2026 counselling procedure will help the candidates during seat/branch allocation. 

• Only the shortlisted candidates will be allocated branches which will be based on their VITEEE 2026 rank

• A single window counselling process will be followed for B.Tech admission in VIT Amravathi/Bhopal/Chennai/Vellore

• Shortlisted candidates may choose to attend any of the provided counselling centres according to their convenience

• Keeping in mind the number of possible absentees, the number of available seats in VIT is fewer than the number of qualified candidates

• Admission into VIT is based on the candidate’s performance in the VITEEE 2026 entrance exam, the availability of seats and the fulfilment of eligibility criteria

• The candidates have to choose their branches on the basis of the total number of allocated and available seats which will be displayed at the counselling centre

• Candidates are supposed to check the official VIT website for information related to VITEEE 2026 counselling procedure

• The candidates must be physically present at the counselling centre/s on the given date and time. The seat of a candidate will be transferred to the next candidate in order of merit if he/she fails to appear on the counselling date/time.

• The candidates may opt to appear for the counselling process at a later time/date but only after informing the concerned body. In such a case, the candidates will only be able to choose from the available campus/branch.

• The number of vacant seats, after the counselling procedure for the day is over, will be updated on the official VIT website. 

Documents Required for VITEEE Counselling 2026

Candidates have to produce the following documents in original along with two sets of photocopies while reporting for counselling at the venue. Without these documents, candidates shall not be allowed to participate in the VITEEE 2026 Counselling Process.

• A copy of eachVITEEE Admit Card, Counselling Admit Card and VITEEE Result 

• Certificate of 10th Boards as a proof of Date of Birth or any other age proof certificate or birth certificate

• Caste Certificate if applicable (For SC/ST candidates only)

• Marksheet of Qualifying Examination (If available)/ XII Admit Card (for candidates awaiting results)

• Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)

• DD for INR 50,000/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore

VITEEE 2026 Counselling - Payment of Balance Fees

Candidates can pay the balance fees through online mode or with the help of Demand Draft (DD). The form of the DD must be drawn in favour of the Vellore Institute of Technology. Candidates must send it to the postal address of the campus within the specific time. It is also advisable for the candidates to write their names, rank, branch, application number, etc., on the reverse side of the DD.

Choice Filling of VITEEE 2026

VITEEE 2026 Choice Filling is the essential process where candidates can select their preferred VIT campuses for admission. To participate, candidates must achieve a qualifying score and rank in the VITEEE 2026, as well as pay the registration fee for counselling. The choice-filling process will take place in five phases, conducted online, corresponding to the ranks secured by the candidates. 

VITEEE 2026 Seat allotment

VITEEE Seat Allotment will be released for candidates who complete the choice-filling process. Candidates will be able to check the allotment results by logging in with their credentials, such as application number and password/date of birth. The seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s preferences and availability. Hence, candidates should select multiple branches during the choice-filling procedure in case their first preference does not have any seats available. To confirm their seats, candidates have to pay the partial or full fees before the deadline, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.
