Vellore Institute of Technology does not release the official cut-off. However, the data received by the candidates who appeared for the examination in previous years are used to determine the expected VITEEE 2026 cutoff. The cut-off is released to check the eligibility of the candidates for admission in the B.Tech/B.E. programmes offered at VIT. All the candidates who are willing to take admission into various engineering programmes offered by the University will have to meet the cut-off. VIT University will not announce any cut-off marks for any programme. It will only issue the stream-wise and campus-wise closing ranks. Candidates who are at the top of the merit list (1 to 20,000) will be called to participate in the VITEEE counselling process. Those candidates who rank lower than the closing rank of a particular category will not be considered for admission. Therefore, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in VITEEE 2026 to become eligible for the VITEEE 2026 Counselling Process.
The expected VITEEE cutoff 2026 can be 90+ marks for popular branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) with a recommended rank under 3000, which can go down to 70 to 80+ for core engineering branches like Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering with ranks under 10,000 to 12,000. Some of the new BTech courses, like CSE (AI & ML) and CSE (Data Science), may require scores of 90+ and ranks under 2500 or 3000 for admission to VIT Campuses.

Candidates with a valid rank in the VITEEE 2026 exam will have to participate in the VITEEE counselling process 2026 for securing admission into the VITEEE campuses. To be registered for the VITEEE counselling process, the candidates will have to first check their VIT 2026 rank. And further pay the counselling fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The choice of courses and campus has to be selected in the order of preference by the candidates during the VITEEE choice filling 2026. Allotment of seats will be done based upon the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability at the campuses. After the VITEEE seat allotment, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the required fee and verifying their admission.

Want to know more about VITEEE
While preparing the VITEEE 2025 cutoff, the authorities will take into consideration factors such as the level of exam difficulty, number of total appeared candidates, number of available seats and the previous year VITEEE cutoff trends.
By knowing the VITEEE cutoff in advance, the candidates will be able to know their chances of securing admissions into the VIT Vellore alongwith its campuses.
VITEEE entrance exam is conducted in multiple slots and days. The exam held on each slot is called a ‘test form’ by the University. To ensure that the level of difficulty in each test form is equal, the University applies the equipercentile method.
VIT will not officially announce the cutoff for the VITEEE 2024 exam. VITEE cutoff will be available as a closing rank. Checking the cut off would give an idea about the individual’s admission chances. The VITEEE cutoff is different as per programme and campus.
Candidates who score more than VITEEE Cutoff 2024 are eligible for the VITEEE counselling process 2025.
A score above 118 marks in the VITEEE 2025 exam is considered to be a good score. Additionally, students with ranks up to 1 Lakh will be eligible for the VITEEE counselling at the Vellore and Chennai campuses.
