AP PGECET 2026 web options is one of the key stages of the counselling, during which participants can arrange their preferred colleges and specialisations during online counselling. It allows them to list their options in the order they wish to be considered for AP PGECET seat allotment.

Only those registered for counselling and are on the verified list can take part in the AP PGECET choice filling. After submitting web selections, you can also modify, reorder, or freeze their choices within the designated window. Careful planning at this stage improves the chances of securing a suitable seat based on rank and reservation rules. The entire process becomes a crucial step in shaping the final admission outcome.

Steps to Fill AP PGECET Web Options 2026 Form

The applicants can follow the steps given below to fill the AP PGECET choice filling form:

• Visit the official website of AP PGECET
• On the main page, click on the “Choice Filling” link
• Enter your registration number and password to log in
• Choose your preferred colleges & courses one by one. Make sure to choose as many choices as you can
• Provide a priority number to each of the options (eg, priority 1,2,3, and so on)
• After you have marked all the options, click on Save Options
• Download the web option form and save it for future reference

AP PGECET 2026 Web Options: Submission & Locking

The AP PGECET choice filling and locking process is conducted online. Check the detailed process explained below. 

Stage 1: Choice Filling

Students who have registered and obtained the User ID and password are eligible to exercise the AP PGECET web options as they select their preferred colleges and courses from the list of AP PGECET participating institutes. Candidates must follow these steps to register before the choice-filling - 

• Go to the official AP PGECET counselling website - pgecet-sche.aptonlne.in
• Click on the tab saying ‘Candidates Registration’ 
• Enter the required details, such as PGECET Hall ticket no., Registration number, Date of birth, Rank, etc.
• After filling in the details, click on the option saying ‘Generate Password
• Enter a password (must have 8-10 characters with at least one Numeric/Character)
• Re-enter the Password along with the mobile number provided at the time of verification.
• Save the password for future login 

Once registered successfully, log in to the candidate’s portal and follow the instructions given below to exercise the web options - 

• Select the ‘Web Options’ link provided on the main page
• Go through the instructions and click on the “I Understand” button to proceed.
• Enter the login credentials - AP PGECET Hall Ticket Number, Date of birth, Rank, etc. and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
• View the ‘Options Form’ featuring the complete list of participating colleges based on specialisation and gender on the left side and as per preference on the right side.
• Use the given filters to minimise the selection list:

1. Alphabetical filter - This filter helps in sorting the list of colleges in alphabetical order. For example, if a candidate selects “A”, then all the colleges starting with “A” will appear, and it will be easy to select.

2. District filter - This filter gives the option to shortlist colleges as per the districts where they are located. 

Candidates can shortlist the college on the left side window. An option to modify the priority list is also provided. 

Step 2: Choice Freezing

Once the choices are selected from the priority list, aspirants will have to ‘Save’ and ‘Confirm’ the same. The chosen colleges will be automatically frozen or locked in the server and displayed in a downloadable format. The final list after options freezing will be used to allocate the seats. Therefore, you are advised to carefully check the list before locking it, since there will be no room for changes after that.
