About GNDU GMET 2018

GNDU GMET (short for Guru Nanak Dev University Management Entrance Test) is conducted by GNDU’s University Business School every year in the month of June. Through this examination, candidates can get admission to various management institutions such as two-year MBA, MBA (Financial Services) and MBA (Marketing and Retail Management).

GNDU GMET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. Often, candidates forget to check the eligibility norms of the entrance exam, which costs them at the time of admission process. Candidates who do not satisfy GNDU GMET eligibility norms will not be considered for admission. Candidate must, therefore, meet the following eligibility norms prior to applying for GNDU GMET 2018.

  • The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks for General category candidates and 45% for Reserved (SC/ST) category candidates in any discipline from a recognised university.

  • Candidates in their final year of Graduation can also apply for GNDU GMET 2018.

GNDU GMET exam pattern has been defined by Guru Nanak Dev University. The GNDU GMET 2018 exam pattern contains the total number of marks, number of questions, subjects, marking system and syllabus for GMET 2018. The questions asked in GNDU GMET 2018 are based on Mental and Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, General English, and Business Aptitude. GNDU GMET 2018 is organised in online mode.

  • Visit the official website and navigate to 'News and Event' tab.

  • Click on 'GNDU GMET 2018 Answer key'.

  • Download and cross check your answers.

  • With the help of the answer key, candidates are able to evaluate the number of right and wrong answers attempted by them.

  • Candidates must calculate their probable scores keeping the marking scheme of the entrance exam in mind.

GNDU GMET 2018 Counselling

GNDU GMET 2018 counselling is organised in the month of July. Only those candidates who are selected in the merit list, are called to participate in GNDU GMET 2018 counselling. Candidates are advised to be present physically at the time of counselling as it is compulsory.

Note: The authority has the right to disqualify the candidates in the GNDU GMET counselling rounds in case they fail to meet the eligibility requirements.

  • Candidates need to log on to the official website of Guru Nanak Dev University.

  • Thereafter, they must click on 'GNDU Admission' link and then click on the “Campus Admission 2018” link that will appear on the next page.

  • Candidates are required to go through the whole notification and register themselves by choosing the suitable course of their choice at the time of counselling procedure

  • All candidates, whether being admitted on the basis of the merit in qualifying examination or through an entrance test, are required to appear for an Interview.

  • If the number of qualifying candidates is more than the seats available, the coordinator has the right to call only a limited number of candidates in order of merit in the GNDU GMET 2018.

  • Candidates appearing in Interview need to carry with them Original degrees/Diplomas/Reserved category Certificates for verification.

  • Accordingly, admission is made against General categories followed by admission for Reserved categories and if any Reserved seat remains unfilled, it is treated as open for admission from General category candidates.

  • The shortlisted candidates have to deposit their fee within two working days after the admission slip is issued.

  • All admissions would be provisional and liable to cancellation, if at any stage the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false.

  • If a candidate does not join the course and withdraws the seat after getting admission slip, the fee and funds deposited by the candidate would be refunded after deduction of processing charges – INR 1200/-.

Documents Required for GNDU GMET Counselling

  • It is mandatory for each candidate to bring the following documents in Originals and their self attested Photocopies.

  • Class 10 Marksheet or Certificate or equivalent examination Certificate as proof of Date of Birth

  • Marksheet of qualifying examination

  • Character certificate issued by the Principal of last college or school

  • 2 recent Passport size Photographs attested by the Principal of the College or School last attended/gazetted officer

  • Reservation certificate (if applicable),

  • Residence certificate wherever applicable.

Note: Students from other than GNDU have to submit migration and eligibility certificate following their admission as per the University rules and regulations.

How to Apply for GNDU GMET 2018

The GNDU GMET 2018 application form will be available in online mode and candidates who are interested can apply by logging in to the Guru Nanak Dev University portal. GNDU GMET 2018 application form is available only on the official website of GNDU website.

Before filling the GNDU GMET 2018 application form, a candidate has to fill Bank Form for the payment of application fee.

  • Visit the official website and click on 'Admission' tab and select 'MBA section' from the drop-down menu.

  • Then, click on "Register yourself" tab.

  • Enter Your Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Category, Password, Security key and other relevant details to generate Fee Deposit Slip bearing a unique Reference number.

  • After that, click on the 'Submit' tab.

  • Take a print out of the slip and take it to the bank for depositing the application fee.

  • The application fee is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India.

  • After that, the bank will issue a Journal ID in your name.

Next Steps to Fill Application Form:

  • You have to go back to complete the process, 3 days after receiving Journal ID.

  • You must enter your Journal ID for verification. Once the verification is done, you can access the application form to fill.

  • You must ensure that the mandatory fields shown in red star are filled carefully.

  • Fill all the details carefully because editing is not allowed in the later steps of the process.

  • The Photograph to be uploaded with the form should not be older than 6 months and should be less than 30 KB in .jpg format.

Confirmation Page:

  • After filling all the fields in the application form, when you click on the ‘SUBMIT’ tab, a form will show the details you filled.

  • Next, you have the option to either edit the filled particulars or lock the application.

  • Once clicked on the ‘LOCK’ tab, a print version of the filled form appears with a unique ID. This is a copy of the application submitted for admission.

  • You must take a print-out of this application form and paste an attested Photograph on the specified space.

  • You have to bring this application form at the time of counselling process.
