GUJCET 2021 Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for GUJCET 2021 must note that 60% weightage is given to marks scored in Class 12th and 40% weightage is for percentile score in GUJCET exam. The details regarding the breakup of marks that are required in Class 12th and GUJCET are given below. Candidates are advised to check the exam pattern of GUJCET 2021, as it will help them to understand the question paper structure & marking scheme. Firstly, the candidates are advised to check the category wise qualifying marks required in Class 12th. Only the candidates scoring these marks shall be considered for the inclusion of merit list.

Highlights of GUJCET Exam Pattern 2021

Some of the major highlights of GUJCET 2021 exam pattern are as follows -

  • It is a Pen and Paper based exam. 

  • The paper can be taken in English, Hindi and Gujarati languages.

  • There are a total of 120 questions in the question paper. 

  • There are Multiple Choice Type of Questions in the paper where candidates have to choose one option from four options.

  • Subjects that are covered under the exam are Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics/Biology.

  • The paper carries 120 marks.

  • The total duration of the exam is 3 hours (180 minutes).

  • There is 1 mark for every correct answer, .25 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer and no marks will be given or deducted for an unanswered question.

Dear Student,

No, you are not eligible for the GUJCET home state quota. For the home state quota, the candidate must have completed his/ her Class 10th & 12th from Gujarat Board. Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from the CBSE board are eligible for the entrance exam. However, he/ she must have studied in a school located in Gujarat state as the domicile rule.
