GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to apply for GUJCET 2020 will have to fulfil some standard qualifications, which may include certain requirements related to age, nationality or academics. Candidates who satisfy these conditions will be termed eligible to take the exam and eventually apply for admission in engineering and degree/diploma pharmacy colleges. Candidates may note that the GUJCET 2020 eligibility criteria have been specified by the admission committee, i.e. ACPC. Those planning to take the exam must keep all the necessary documents ready to prove their eligibility during all the stages of selection. GUJCET 2020 Domicile Criteria/ Rules

Primarily, the candidates need to satisfy the domicile rules specified below -

Domicile Rule 1: The candidate must be the permanent resident of the Gujarat state. 

Domicile Rule 2: The candidate must have completed his/ her Class 10th & 12th from Gujarat Board. Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from CBSE board are also eligible for the entrance exam. However, he/ she must have studied in a school located in Gujarat state.

Domicile Rule 3: The candidates who have studied Class 10th & 12th from schools located in Dadra Nagar & Haveli, Daman & Diu are also eligible for the entrance exam. However, the candidate's parents should be of Gujarat origin.

Domicile Rule 4: The candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from ICSE/ ISE board from any of the schools located in Gujarat are also eligible for the entrance exam.

Domicile Rule 5: Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible for GUJCET. However, the study centre of the candidates must be located in Gujarat state only.

Educational Qualification Required for GUJCET 2020

Apart from the domicile rules, the candidates need to satisfy the educational qualification as specified below to be eligible for the entrance exam -

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12th with PCM/ PCB stream.
  • The candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 45% of marks. 
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories and PH category will have 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks.

GUJCET 2020 Reservation Policy

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories can apply for GUJCET 2020 under the GUJCET 2020 reservation policy. While reporting for the counselling, all the candidates who have been allotted seats through reservation will have to produce their category certificates. Candidates will be able to get admission through the unreserved seat in case, a reserved category candidate is allotted in an unreserved seat as per their rank. What After Fulfilling the GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria?

All the candidates who will fulfill the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2020 can proceed with the application form filling procedure of GUJCET 2020. Candidates will have to fill the application form in online mode and while filling the application form candidates had to ensure that they are submitting the valid information corresponding to the documents which will later be required for verification. Once fulfilling the online application form, registered candidates will receive their admit card of GUJCET 2020. Candidates must ensure that they check all the details mentioned in the admit card of GUJCET 2020 and contact admission authority in case of any discrepancies. Admit card is issued online through the official website of GSEB.

How can the registration details be edited before and after confirming?

Before confirmation of registration, the candidates can edit their registration details online. After confirmation of registration, the candidates will have to reach the Help Centre for editing registration details.

If filled choices are not locked, is it safe to logout?

There is no need to lock filled choices until the candidates have completed their choice filling. However, the choices filled so far should be saved before logout.

How many times can choices be edited?

The choices can be edited as many times as possible till the final date.

I have a valid score in JEE Main? Am I eligible for 75% state quota admission in Gujarat?
Students with a valid score in JEE Main are eligible for admission through 25% quota seats that are available in self-financing or unaided institutions.
