TS ICET 2024 Score Normalization

The same syllabus and pattern are used for all sessions of the TS ICET 2024 for applicants who meet the same eligibility requirements. A candidate is only allowed to appear for one session. Consequently, candidates may compare themselves based on the variation in the difficulty levels of question papers for the same subject since the question paper is different for each session.

Even though every effort is made to ensure that every subject is of the same calibre, the TS ICET normalization process removes any potential for variations in the difficulty levels of different sessions. The main goal of score normalization is to prevent any student from experiencing an advantage or disadvantage as a result of multiple sessions. It ensures that no student has benefitted while calculating the TS ICET result.

The Normalization Formula for TS ICET 2024 is given below.

TS ICET Normalization Formula

  • GASD is the Sum of the Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of all the candidates across all sessions of a subject put together.
  • GTA is the Average mark of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all the sessions of a subject put together.
  • STA is the Average mark of the top 0.1% of the candidates in a subject of a session in which the candidate has appeared.
  • SASD is the Sum of the Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of a subject of a session in which a candidate has appeared.
