WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment

The WBJEE seat allotment process for the year 2020 will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on the basis of the WBJEE 2020 result and merit list. The seat allotment process for WBJEE 2020 will take place in three different rounds and is expected to begin in the month of August 2020. 

The WBJEE 2020 seat allotment list will display the name of the college and course allocated to the candidates. The candidates can view the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment list on the official website of WBJEE with the help of the link - wbjee.nic.in. 

After the WBJEE officials release the WBJEE 2020 provisional seat allotment list, the candidates have to first check if their names are present on the list. After the provisional seat allotment result is released, it will display the names and they will be required to pay the provisional admission fee which will confirm their admission in their desired or allocated course. If the eligible candidates do not submit the provisional seat allotment fee within the mentioned deadline, their names will be struck off from the WBJEE provisional seat allotment list 2020 and such seats will be treated as non-allocated or vacant.

How to Check the Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2020

The candidates can follow these simple steps for the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment list:

  • Use the link - wbjee.nic.in to visit the official website of WBJEE 2020.

  • Look for the “WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment Result” link and click on it.

  • The WBJEE 2020 seat allotment result will be displayed on the computer screen.

  • If a seat is allocated, then, go through the subsequent procedure to complete the admission formalities.

  • Finally, take a printout of the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment list for future use.

Detailed WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment Process

  • After the release of the WBJEE 2020 merit list, the eligible candidates have to exercise their choice-filling rights to choose the college/s and course/s they want to get into. After the choice-filling process concludes, the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment process will begin and the details regarding the same are as follows:

Round 1 of WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment Process

  • After securing a seat in the first round of the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment process, the candidates have to report to their respective WBJEE Reporting Centres (RCs) in order to complete the formalities of admission

  • Seats of those candidates will be cancelled who will not report at their respective counselling centres

  • The candidates have to report at their respective reporting centres along with their allotment letters and relevant documents

  • The candidates can also opt for either to upgrade or not upgrade the seat allocated to them 

Round 2 of WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment Process

  • No fresh registrations will be required for the second round of the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment process

  • Those candidates who could not secure a seat in the first round of the WBJEE 2020 seat allotment process will be considered for allocation of seats in this round

  • Seats will also be allocated to those candidates who will qualify their JEE Main 2020 exam with the minimum qualifying marks provided they take part in the WBJEE 2020 counselling and seat allotment process

  • At the reporting centres/s, JEE Mains 2020 qualified candidates have to produce their JEE Main 2020 scorecard as well

Round 3 of WBJEE 2020 Seat Allotment Process

  • Based on the number of available seats after the conclusion of WBJEE second round seat allotment process, the third round will be conducted

  • After being allocated seats, the candidates have to report at their respective colleges for completing the formalities of admission

Documents Required for Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2020

Here is a list of all the documents that must be produced by the candidates at their respective reporting centres:

  • Proof of WBJEE 2020 seat allotment

  • Recent Passport-Sized Photographs (6 Nos)

  • JEE Mains 2020 Scorecard (for candidates applying for admission based on the JEE Mains scores)

  • Admit card of WBJEE 2020

  • Marksheet of Class Xth

  • Marksheet of Class XIIth 

  • Medical certificate

  • Category certificate

  • Proof of Seat Acceptance Fee

Post Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2020

There are certain steps that are to be followed by the candidates once the result of the WBJEE 2020 seat selection is out. We have provided the steps to be followed in the portion below:

  • The candidates who earn a seat in the seat allotment process are required to download WBJEE 2020 seat allotment letter.

  • In order to download the seat allotment letter, they will have to pay the seat acceptance fee by either the offline or online mode. To pay the fee in offline mode, students will have to download the e-challan of Allahabad Bank and pay it accordingly. 

  • After payment of the seat acceptance fee is done candidates will have to report to the particular reporting centre with the required documents for verification.

  • Once the verification of the documents is done, students have an option to let the authorities know about their willingness to participate in the further rounds.

  • In case the candidates are required to freeze the seat allocated to them.

  • If they want to participate in the further rounds, candidates are required to sign a declaration so that the seats which have been allocated to them at first get cancelled.

  • Once the seat allotment process is completed the students should report to the institute which they have been allotted and pay the course fee in order to confirm admission.
