The WBJEE 2022 conducted on April 30, 2022, consisted of Paper 1 (Physics) which took place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) which was held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The difficulty level of the question paper was considered between easy to moderate. A thorough preparation of the previous year's WBJEE questions and the NCRET books was enough for it.
The analysis of the WBJEE 2022 Paper reveals that both Paper 1 and Paper 2 had a moderate level of difficulty. Paper 1, which focused on Mathematics, was relatively easier to moderate but had a lengthy format. On the other hand, Paper 2, which covered Physics and Chemistry, ranged from moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty.
The mathematics section had 75 questions including some topics like Calculus, Algebra and Coordinate Geometry and much more. The overall paper was considered between easy to moderate. The paper was lengthy and required good time management skills. Along with that, the question required conceptual understanding and application of mathematical concepts that were essential for success.
Paper 2 consisted of two subjects physics and chemistry and a total number of 80 questions, 40 from each. More than 55% of the physics question came from the class 12 syllabus whereas the rest were from the class 11th syllabus. The physics questions required a good and thorough knowledge of mathematical concepts.
Paper 2 consisted of topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, waves and optics, modern physics, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry from chemistry.
