CTET (July) Cut-off 2020

CTET 2020 cutoff will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with the announcement of the CTET 2020 result. The CTET 2020 cut-off is not available yet. However, it will be available once the result has been declared. CTET cut off 2020 is the minimum qualifying marks/score which the candidates must get in order to be eligible for the CTET eligibility certificate. Therefore, the candidates who are able to secure marks equal to the cut off of CTET 2020, those candidates will be qualified in the exam. Candidates must note that according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) they will have to secure minimum 60% marks in the exam and only then they will be issued eligibility certificates.

CTET 2020 will have two test papers, Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who are interested in teaching classes I-V need to give Paper-I whereas aspirants who want to teach classes VI to VIII will hav10/NCTE/Acad dated 11.02.2011: A person to give Paper-II.

As per NCTE notification, No. 76-4/20n who scores 60% or more in the CTET exam will be considered as CTET pass.

Factors Determining CTET 2020 Cut-off

There are various factors on which the cut-off of CTET depends.The factors include the following:

  • Number of appeared candidates

  • Minimum qualifying marks

  • Number of registered candidates

  • Vacancy to appeared candidates ratio

  • The number of eligible candidates.

Qualifying Marks in CTET 2020 and Award of CTET Certificate

Before appearing for the CTET 2020, candidates must take a note about the qualifying marks or qualifying criteria in CTET 2020 examination.

  • Candidates scoring 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.

  • School managements (Local bodies, Government, Government aided and Un-aided) may consider giving concessions to the candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

  • CTET scores are given weightage in the recruitment process, however, candidates must note that qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment. Qualifying CTET exam is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment of the teachers in schools. 

CTET 2020 Post Result Declaration

Once the result of CTET 2020 is declared, candidates can check the cut-off of CTET 2020. Candidates must note that it is indeed important to qualify CTET exam in order to become eligible for recruitment as a teacher. Those who will qualify Paper 1 makes will become eligible to teach classes I to V, and those who will qualify Paper 2 will become eligible to teach classes VI to VIII. After the declaration of CTET 2020 result, a CTET qualified candidate can apply for jobs in teaching in both government as well as the private sector. However, for most of the government school teaching jobs, candidates have to go through entrance exams and/or interviews which are almost similar like CTET.
