CTET Cut-off 2018

CTET 2018 cutoff will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with the announcement of the  CTET 2018 result. The CTET 2018 cut off is not available yet. However, it will be available once the result has been declared. CTET cut off 2018 is the minimum qualifying marks/score which candidates must get to be eligible for the CTET eligibility certificate. Therefore, candidates who are able to secure marks equal to the cut off of CTET 2018, those candidates will be qualified in the exam. Candidates must note that according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) they will have to secure minimum 60% marks in the test, only then they will be issued eligibility certificate.

CTET 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on 9th December 2018 in offline mode for candidates willing to pursue a teaching job in central government schools. CTET 2018 will have two test papers, Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who are interested in teaching classes I-V need to give Paper-I whereas aspirants who want to teach classes VI to VIII will have to give Paper-II.

Factors Determining CTET 2018 Cut-off

There are various factors on which the cut-off of CTET depends.The factors include the following:

  • Number of appeared candidates

  • Minimum qualifying marks

  • Number of registered candidates

  • Vacancy to appeared candidates ratio

  • Number of eligible candidates

CTET Cutoff 2018 - Qualifying Certificate and Qualifying Marks

  • Candidates qualifying the entrance exam will be given eligibility certificate/qualifying certificate/marks statement once the result has been declared.

  • Candidates must note that qualifying CTET means that the candidate has met one of the eligibility criteria for appointment. It does not mean that a person has qualified to be recruited/employed.

  • For all categories, CTET qualifying certificate is valid for seven years from the date of result declaration.
